So I recently watched the drama "Devil Beside You" (even though it's old) but I really liked it.

Are there any similar dramas?I really don't mind older dramas...

Thanks for the recommendations

ANything with Rainie Yang LOL

WHy why Love, Miss No Good (annoying voice but if u can get over the voice, the comedic is really enjoyable--love the ost and the actors/actresses), Rainie Yang ost "Dai Wo zou" in that drama making me a fan LOL

alot of people love ToGetHer, my personal favorites are Hi, My Sweetheart and Love You.

If you want something similar, you can't get any closer to DBY than Why Why Love. It's the same actors, same general plotline, but in a different drama.

Yeah she is. I was hesitant to watch it at first because of the crappy dubbing but getting past that was worth it.

When it comes to T-dramas, older is better. A lot of recent dramas are filled with even more mediocre acting, weak female leads with annoying voices, excessively dragged plots, boring stories and crap comedy.

Sigh, remember when T-dramas were competing with Kdramas for Asian prominence...

omg feels like decades since I've last seen any of these lol

but yeah OP, I think Why Why Love is the closest you'll get (from what I can remember).

I absolutely hated ISWAK, so I wouldn't recommend it tho lol

Not gonna lie, I totally want to see Rainie and Mike collaborate again!! You should check out "Why Why Love" and "It started with a Kiss'. And maybe "The Prince Who Turns into A Frog" and "Fated To Love You". These are all of the fan favorites from mid to late 00s with popular casts.

I totally agree. It astounds me that most Taiwanese dramas have not improved in any way since Meteor Garden, and that there is a "quality" drama like once every one or two years (The Hospital, The Fierce Wife, In Time With You, Black and White, etc). I think the problem is that most directors don't have a vision or some story they want to tell... instead, they just use the same cliches and characters and switch it up a little bit. Another thing is that Taiwanese dramas are almost all rom-coms with super-exaggerated humor, like you've pointed out already. I guess that's why KO One series is popular in Taiwan because at least it has some action/fantasy elements to it.

Truly hoping some directors/producers will step it up. One of the projects I'm looking forward to is Ruby Lin's "The Way We Were". I think the preview looks promising.
