After much anticipation, the second season of Youth With You finally premiered on March 12, 2020. As a new attempt to competition-based reality TV, Youth With You pioneered the practice of completing post-production to meet local standards of multiple countries. The show will be officially presented in 8 languages on the iQIYI APP: Chinese, English, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay, Spanish and Korean. It will also innovatively attempt a "two episodes per week" update frequency, releasing globally every Thursday and Saturday at 8pm (GMT+8). Its superstar cast of Youth Producers' Representative KUN, Dance Mentor LISA, Vocal Mentor Ella, and Rap Mentor JONY J is catching lots of attention, so is its brand new, multi-layered contest rules.

Youth With You is the first to launch the "Trainee Welcome Party" model in order to help the mentors get to know the contestants more. This is also the first time the show is opening with a Mentor Spotlight Showcase. All the mentors must prove their capabilities before becoming role models for the trainees. KUN ignited the stage with his original singing-dancing sensation "Young". Many of the trainees look up to LISA as their idol and goalpost. LISA's dance to "In The Name Of Love + Attention" got the whole crowd screaming for more. Some of the girls were moved to tears, describing her as "dancing with her whole self, down to every hair" Ella and JONY J displayed their vocal and rap talents respectively in "How Old Are You" and "MY MAN".

Another highlight to watch out for is the use of PK in the initial evaluation. Groups who picked the same song must battle it out, allowing everyone to better observe and compare their performance. The 4 mentors were rather strict with this group of contestants. The first episode failed to yield any Class A trainees.

It is clear from the show that LISA, for whom this is the first experience Chinese variety TV, quickly adjusted to the rhythm of Youth With You. According to internal sources, the lovely LISA had many emotional moments during the show, shedding tears of excitement and blushing from shyness.
