The reason is bcs SM stopped caring and isnt willing to pay additional royalties to Marz Music (the composers) Fans (including chinese exols) found out the reason SM stopped paying is bcs EXO most likely told SM last year they're most likely wont be renewing (EXO themselves dropped hints to fans abt this), alsoprobably this is why SM cancelled the repackage). here is the current situation between SM and EXO according to an entertainment insider a few weeks ago Edited March 6, 2020 by JENKAI 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He still should be getting his rightful royalties tho so SM ent is in the wrong here. SM never disband groups so don't worry. SM giving members solo albums is a tactic they always use to 'persuade' them individually when the whole group refuse to renew. they are looking for the ones who are the most profittable too as a solo artist so they can convince them (individually to stay). its the exact same tactic they used on snsd 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
