Actually, climbing the snowy mountain is an even harder process than everyone imagines, the director team taking turns to transport things up, before managing to bring the “emperor’s position†up to the peak. The filming team, production team teachers, carrying heavy equipment, relying on breathing in oxygen to keep up. But very frankly, from the time we chose this place to begin with, we knew this was a very very difficult thing, but proudly, amongst us all, no one said, the two words “giving upâ€.

 

 

Because, Go Fighting, we also want to communicate a sort of spirit, as the show slowly passes the halfway point, there is finally a chance to chat with everyone, about this spirit.

Actually, we wanted to chat with everyone for a long time, but chatting earlier, doesn’t mean much, if we wanted to “talk princples†these words right from the first episode, we guess everyone would have run away long ago.

 

 

Yes, actually our thoughts are very simple, do one bit first, if everyone likes the show, then, slowly, the things we want to communicate, the things gege and didi (TN: elder brothers and younger brothers) want to express, one by one, writing it into the picture. To say something slightly boastful, each single episode, each time we watch, we have new insights, each time we repeatedly watch it, we record these feelings down, which is how after each episode is broadcast, the nine prinicples of how #This Is Life# were created (TN: the production team posts 9 images about how life is from each episode on their weibo account).

 

 

Actually, “Go Fighting†is like a small society, each time in this small society, there will be things like this and like that happening. And those “brothers with a deep bond†“changing fate†“cause and effect†just slowly come along in these stories one by one.

 

 

In the design of the show, we were thinking let’s hit more of those guests with experience and with age (TN: older and experienced guests), to reflect a theme of “our society’s menâ€. If we have a group of idols, that probably won’t come about, so you can see,

in the line-up aside from Zhang Yixing, the youngest is 36 years old

. Now, we are very grateful for our original choice, because just because there was a bunch of experienced individuals, they are “playing†a completely different game.

And also very grateful to these geges and didis (TN: elder brothers and youner brothers), your performance exceeded our original expectations.

Hong Lei-ge

, to be honest, when the programme team went to hit for Hong Lei-ge, we were really going based on the direction of a “strong manâ€, we didn’t think, now… that’s completely gone off-track… but the true Hong Lei-ge is even more lovable. Actually Hong Lei-ge represents the sort of man beside you, they appear fierce on the outside, but are soft on the inside, don’t look at how fearsome they appear, actually they are so terribly good to you in their hearts. Lei-ge

 (TN: Huang Bo), needless to say, is our show’s representative for inspiration, his uprightness and kindness shines brightly in the show, for instance his “loyalty†to Luo Zhi Xiang; he has that cute “cunning†nature unique to young Chinese men, in that instant when he secretly hid that underground pass; he is good to his brothers, but he never knows how to say it, having packed a pastry for Wang Xun he just gave it to him silently. Xun-ge
