I used to exercise frequently (I practiced track&field). However, I had an injury and after that I stopped enjoying exercises. Maybe it's an excuse to stop. I do enjoy long walks thou.

the only way you can get me to do a workout is through a gym class since they're timed and not repetitive. I had a friend who lost a ton weight through some kinda of mini meal diet and she didnt need to excercise.

Well, yeah, exercising doesn’t help you lose your weight. It helps you build muscle so it becomes harder to get back the weight you lost. For a lot of people, exercising curbs appetite and 95% of weight loss is changing eating habits. For others, exercising makes them want to eat more, it depends on the person, that’s why controlling what you eat is the most reliable method of weight loss. In fact, count your calories, there are apps for that. Consume fewer calories than what someone of your height, sex, and activity level requires and you will lose weight.

Mini meals are one way to do it, because you consume fewer calories this way. Substituting every drink for water and nothing else is another (people seriously underestimate how many calories they get from drinks). Some people completely change their diets and go for low calorie foods like leafy greens, well, if it works for them, good for them. That’s not for me though, so I use other ways. If it works for you, that’s fine. If it doesn’t, there a hundreds of other ways.

As long as you consume fewer calories than your body requires, you will lose weight over time. Lost calories add up.
