I was texting with this friend from Mexico. So we were talking school. She said she was texting during her break & then she has to go back to school. So I was confused cause thought she was home from school. So I asked her about it. She said, they have school from 8am-1pm then break & back to school at 3pm-5pm. What is this break, why do y'all have it?

I'm argentinian

Maybe your friend is in double turn in school

In America our double turn is for 8 hours with 1 hour almost 2 of break to eat, gymnastics or rest watching something in yt or streaming app.

I know in my country some schools have 2 shifts, morning & evening. But students don't go to be, it's either 1 of the 2
