I don't think we can assume they have racist intentions, unless you have evidence to suggest otherwise, and the figures you gave for other countries are absolutely miniscule compared to the shitshow going on in China right now. I mean the US has a population of over 300 million. 15 cases is nothing. Those other countries are also taking measures to keep the virus under control, unlike China, where people are being denied a diagnosis & treatment just so the government can make their statistics look better. Like it or not, it makes perfect sense to not invite the Chinese and surrounding countries where current carriers are most likely to travel & infect others. The number of Korean cases that actually came from China only proves this point.

China ≠ Korea

I know that China has a large population infected, we all do. I also do agree that it is important to deeply consider and screen the celebrities and workers who are currently living and working in China. I can understand the decision for people coming from high risk areas in China to not attend as even simply going to the airport could be risky in those cases. However, this article is about Korea. Which has 31 cases with a population of almost 52 million people and as said, more than half of those cases were connected directly to China.

It is understandable for those living in very high risk areas of China to not attend for their own safety however,  this is not what is happening in this situation at all. Fear-mongering of those from Asian countries is being pushed daily by western media, it is particularly bad here in the UK and Burberry is exacerbating it.  It makes no sense to disinvite Korean people. You cannot convince me.

Korea currently have more than 200 cases, the number of cases surge rapidly because of new cluster infection in Daegu cult church (account fot 2/3 of all cases, also more than 500 people member of the church is symptomatic but the test result is still pending). This maybe why Burberry cancelled Korean celebrity invitations. Please keep updated with your information

Please look to the time when I posted this, you will find that I posted that on the 19th and the large outbreak of cases where the numbers doubled overnight was only reported today, on the 21st.  It would have been impossible for anyone to have known this before much less Burberry.

So what you’re saying is they made the right choice? I can’t assume all preventative measures are racist

Most of these cases came from Daegu, from one church, one congregation,

Seoul has only recorded 7 cases to date (i.e today the 21st) and the event was on the 17th anyway??

You guys are going mad honestly. Korea is losing control over virus with the cult cases, Japan with Diamond Princess. Korean celebrities cancel fanmeetings, concerts and music show recordings are done without fans. Burberry is not racist with cancellations of invitations unless they are about location, I mean a non-Asian person should get their invitation cancelled over coming from Korea/Japan/China as well. It was advised not to travel from and to places severely affected by virus, Asian celebrities should be responsible and they should cancel their overseas schedules by themselves.
