But idk what did Mia do get so much screen & distribution time. It's not like she is the most popular (may be international but not in Korea). Why is Ondaย treated like she isn't there???? I always thought Yiren was center (she does share the position with Mia + she is given the 'killing parts'). Before they debut always thought they were going to be Yirenย & friends especially how many people hyped up Yiren...only for it to become 'Mia + some what of Yirenย & friends'. I totally get that Mia has the most stage presence. hynapia 3,977 Posted February 8, 2020 Share Posted February 8, 2020 (edited) I think that aside from the fact that she's both main vocalist and dancer and has a great presence is because Everglow is a group with much more international appeal/popularity so they're pushing the member that's more well liked by international fans. Yiren was hyped up mostly at first when the group was announced because she and Sihyeon were known from produce 48, but short after that i-fans started to notice Mia and hype her up as a "fierce dancing queen" and stuff like that so I think that's a good reason for the company pushing her. Companies usually wait a little longer to finally decide which member they are going to push, CLC's Yeeun for example, didn't receive the push until she cut her hair and got a massiveย response for it, so I think Yuehuaย is rushing and forcingย things out. Tbh I was starting to warm up to this group bc of Yena, but if things keep going like this, I don't want her in, I thought Yuehuaย would be smarter and learned from previous groups who have stronglyย favored only one member. She gets such a small number of lines but her parts are always special and my favourite. Plus, she's got an amazing presence (imo) so she definitely deserves a dance break. Having the most talented member with vigor be the focus. I feel like not as many people would be complaining if it were one of the โvisualโ members instead.
