No it's different. There's a history in Kpop when a girl group debuts under a company with a big boygroup and they interact with that boy group they get hate for it, because a bunch of jealous fan girls can't handle their oppars dating. It's not me projecting on any fandom.

The thing is army isnt a complete monolith, yes its the entire fandom but within that fandom there are all types of personalities and people
