you girls do not have to talk about native americans - or OJIBWE people - in past tense! we are still alive and well! and we don't want you to use our culture as a prop! @hf_dreamcatcher #DreamcatcherChangeYourName pic.twitter.com/KpfnIElBOb

.@hf_dreamcatcher and their company refuses to acknowledge that they profit off Ojibwe culture as a concept & refuses to answer all emails regarding the issue, please help us trend this hashtag so that they change their name & respect Ojibwe culture.#DreamcatcherChangeYourName pic.twitter.com/XYZQQNrKEp

Oh gosh, and why now ? After all those years. And except the name they NEVER disrespected the culture... Unlike many others.

I know it's not my place to say if they have the right to be angry but dreamcatchers are everywhere, on clothes, accessories and in pretty much every single store selling home decoration. So I don't get why they're targetting the Group NOW.

why are they having issues with the girls when they should be taking it up with the COMPANY? Their company is the one that named them. And why are they making a fuss now when they could've done it when they first debuted?

In the tweets they say they've contacted the company by e-mail countless times without any reply.  🤔🤔🤔

I agree with you all

After years after debut these people are making a fussy huckus about it now instead of doing much earlier

The only truths coming out from people on twitter are: If Dreamcatcher were offending black people the group would have being over and finished by now,  racism against native american tribes is very much acceptable and tolerable while racism against black people is not acceptable and tolerable at all

Their concept isn't even based on Native American culture at all, but Norse mythology according to Norwegians on r/kpop. Their logo this time is even based on the Norse mythological tree Yggdrasil. And Norwegian Kpop fans are very excited to see a Nordic concept coming from Dreamcatcher.

How come everytime there is a racism issue with a group, the 1st thing people do is bring up black people ? Plenty of idols have done antiblack stuff and still have well functioning careers. Stop this

This is.... Stupid.

Sorry. But imma have to flat out say it.

Literally what about this is offensive? Might as well they tell all non-native Americans to get rid of their dreamcatcher tattoos, stop making dreamcatchers in art class, stop hanging them over their beds or using them as jewelry.

To go out of your way to target and harass a group over something like this... I can't. These same idiots are probably the ones who go around screaming "Cultural appropriation!" at even the most benign thing that may even be showing appreciation.

Like I swear people just enjoy finding things to be offended by and love starting campaigns to hurt others.
