curious to see what aoa will bring to the table. otherwise i'm not sure how bright their future will be

unpopular opinion: i'm lowkey worried about gidle. i don't trust cube management, long-run.  i'm also worried they might focus to much on this US expansion and they'll forget other areas which are just as important. idk. i hope i'm wrong

Twice cause JYP will focus more on ITZY/NIZI(Japan). 🐍

Got7 will slow down in growth and hype while SKZ goes up. 🙈

EXO is slowing down as we can see from last year. 🤧

RV will slow down once SM NGG announced and debut. 🐌

NCT will slow down as new gen BGs Treasure, TXT, ONEUS, CIX, Ateez etc are taking their spotlight tbh. 👾

BP will slow down due to Treasure, NGG and Bigbang. 🐩

I don't know but I hope it's not 2nd gen groups like Apink or AOA because I only recently became a fan.

i'm the most confident in apink

i think they'll at least release one group omeback. and it will be relatively successful

I don't know how well TWICE will do on the charts in Korea, however feel TWICE will definitely continue to grow and break records in Japan. In general they will still be one of the top girl groups by the end of the year, in my opinion

EXO and GOT7 have inevitably started to slow down as a group due to working on more individual stuff

I think RV will probably do about the same this year as they did last year. SM isn't ready to push them away yet. Even when the new GG comes. However I am worried about Wendy situation.

NCT too I feel will do fine. Even if other groups take some of their spotlight, NCT fandom will probably still grow and their albums and tours will do well too.

For BP, YG management is their biggest threat...we're getting a comeback eventually, so that's good

I think AOA will be all right.  Queendom gave them a boost that I think will help them keep momentum this year.  I don't know if it's cheating to use groups that are already slowing down, but I foresee trouble for DIA and MMLD.  It's actually hard not to compare them, as groups.  But both are hemorrhaging members and struggling to adapt their sound.  I'd bet MMLD (as a venture, not the members) is still making money, but I don't know if DIA ever did.  I don't think either group has paid off trainee debt yet except for the most popular members of each (Jooe, Chaeyeon).  For DIA, it could mean disbandment, and idk for MMLD.

You could probably throw Gugudan and Weki Meki into that mix too.

no it's not cheating. these groups will be slower then usual..i agree. dia have always had problem. momoland there's a bunch of uncertainties surrounding them. they haven't really had a good comeback since their viral hit. they lost some members. and the new issues daisy is causing by calling out the company

I agree with EXO and RV tbh.

Twice is still the top gg even if 2019 wasn't as strong as previous years it was still miles better than most girl groups.

Blackpink barely promote anyway I don't think Treasure will slow them down even more haha

WINNER will be focusing more on individual activities. There might be a possibility for one group comeback but that's not definite.

-EXO: most members are enlisting this year or already enlisted so I see them mostly focused on individual activities like they did the majority of last year

-GOT7: they still sell well but I feel their popularity is dying down, even internationally they aren't as hyped as before

-Winner/iKON: Winner's second comeback in 2019 did pretty bad chart wise and 1-2 members are enlisting this year. As for iKON, I don't see that much hype for their comeback and they seem to have lost popularity since Hanbin left.

-Momoland: their last comeback barely lasted a day on melon top 100 and they lost their most popular member in Korea. I think they're basically done.

-Lovelyz/Gugudan: LVLZ only had one comeback last year and Gugudan has been MIA for over a year.

-Blackpink: if YG continues neglecting them. I've already seen some people jumping ship to Everglow that has a similar concept/aesthetic

-Red Velvet: not exactly slowing down but the situation with Wendy will put them on hiatus for a while and they could lose some fans to SM ngg

-AOA/A Pink: they're still successful for second gen groups (esp A Pink) but I can see them progressively overshadowed by all the fresh new ggs.

Treasure has a lot of anticipation at least by international fans tho. Their performance MV hit 3.5M in a couple of days and the public will check out their debut for sure since they always check out YG stuff even if YG brand right now is bad. I feel they could blow up with the right songs and promotions. I agree with the others though.

bts and twice i think focus will begin to shift a bit to new group

This year? idk. Looking at the schedule revealed so far, BTS will be as busy this year, if not more, like last year

Maybe  2021 or 2022, as a "group".  I'm curious if they will do more units and etc as members enlist.

edit: Bighit is still depending on BTS to enrich their company brand while the new groups rise and/or develop. Especially if the rumors about them starting the IPO process is true.

AOA and APink will be have less comebacks but they still have good fanbase and recognition.

EXO and Winner will be start hiatus for enlistment maybe the SuperM boys will be make activities in that group.

iKON winning or failing they will be have tours for save numbers until end of contract.

Lovelyz maybe some girls not renew for being actress.

GOT7 will be resist only if foreigner line renew if not only korean members will stay in JYP and Jinyoung will be become full actor

DIA, gugudan and Momoland near of disband

RV with more solo stuff and less comebacks or OT4 comeback for this year but still good fanbase

NCT 127 popular internationally and Dream with good reputation in SK, China and SEA.

Twice will be resist more but if some member let the group will be Jessica impact of damage to group

BP will be stay international popular but little downgrade in Korea if YGE not send them to big deals like Running Man

BTS popular until enlistment

Rising: ITZY, Everglow, Stray Kids, ATEEZ but not level of conquiring all markets at same time like BTS or BP

Promising rookies: SMNGG, TREASURE internationally but they need more fansign or tv stuff for gain more local fans, STARSHIP BG in Korea.

Surprised you didn't mention TxT in the rising rookies. They're charting and selling better all the groups you mentioned minus ITZY.

I mean, at first most of their popularity came from Big Hit/BTS indeed but now they're gaining their own fandom domestically and internationally. Their social media numbers (twitter, instagram, VLive etc) and spotify/itunes numbers are pretty big so they're definitely doing really well internationally but they have to grow more domestically.
