The Eurovision Song Contest Thread

Oh my, the way she handled it is even more admirable now. Knowing she's a target, having someone jumping on the stage.

Serbia was my toilet break, sorry.

Germany, is sweet.

Why are they all crying in their performances T_T

wonder if UK will use their second chance option

She declined. And rightfully so, it really didn't affect her performance I think.

Finland was great, I'm still intrigued by who did the high-pitched back vocals, they added something to the whole performance.

Mind explaining to me what's the big deal with two guys dancing? What's with the cheering and all? I thought after having bearded woman as a winner nothing was a surprise or groundbreaking anymore. Am I missing something?

Anyway, Ireland is nice but nothing special.

Kudos to Italy for having correct translations and writings in different languages. Usually people mess up Hebrew by simply mirroring it, than actually writing from right to left. Interesting performance with just writings on the screen. But I don't like guilt wrenching songs, I want to enjoy, not to have conscience trip.

Do you guys get some say (like the public) in who represent your countries? In Australia we are just told who is representing us and that they have the best song ever and it turns out to be pretty meh when you actually listen to it.

Yeah, we have this whole audition/elimination show where viewers vote for their favorites. Contestants have to perform several stages and win the heart of the audience, but there are also judges. Like any talent show basically.
