We have a good taste in music ;)

It's quite amusing seeing people throw a fit on juries like I did last year, I am reading the comments on Eurovison's website and most people are not happy. Especially what happened to Poland. Poland literally had the biggest gap between Jury and Televotes it's ridiculous lol. Poland deserves much more, so glad the televotes actually helped him up! Juries must be pissing themselves right now lol

Jury is a mess...they ruins everything...last year was really dissapointing...idk they are so strange..okay with russia ..it's clearly from Ukrainian votes seen that the jury = politics but why they gave poland one of the last places is ridiculous

Amazing to see how the Dutch public voted Poland for second and the Juries dead last lol

I wish the judges could actually put their opinions because I am really curious as to why they'd vote Poland dead last...

Did Dutch vote for Latvia?

If not you can't come for meeeee!!!!

I don't understand Hungary's low votes... none of the neighbors seemed to like him besides the televoting from Serbia which gave him 10 points. and the juries nearing at the 20s.... so strange and Serbia isn't even their direct neighbor.

Nah Dutch people are known for bad taste you can't argue with that lol so I can! Dutch people didn't vote for either Justs of Donatas.

PLEASE LOVE FREDDIE

Although not in my top 3, he's one of my favorites. Even the American commentators loved him. xD

I think one of the main problems is that people don't like his voice...  I read that plenty of times and that's what I thought to initially but the song is actually REALLY good. Its such a bummer he ended up 19th despite the song being really really good....

Maybe they should have sended Kallay oh well...

Me going through all the votes to see Hungary's placing

Norway's juries placed Hungary as the lowest ... and I've seen more than 10 countries now

3 times 26 and once 25 what kind of evil judges  :soul:  they need to cleanse their ears that's what they need to do. How can they place Hungary last wtf

Congrats to Jamala.

But honestly second time in a row that the televote winner did not win the actual contest... interesting. I wonder what changed. I am still butthurt over Freddie so I went to check the semi final points... and he was tied 4th! Where did all the televoters go last night

You know what I find ironic, people are now complaining that countries who are not in Europe are participating. I know I was butthurt for losing wons and for Hungary but damn... not the fault of Australia and other non-European countries that your favorites didn't do well. Germany's entries are full of Germans saying non-European countries should not be eligible to enter, sorry but it's not their fault Germany is last, it's the fact that you sent a koreaboo/weaboo to represent the country and expect her to win lmao

please.

I'm finally laptop so I'll be looking through all the votes, expect buttrage  :hurr:

I actually disagree with this. Jury voting has been going since 2009 and the results haven't changed that much

1999 - 2008: Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Turkey, Ukraine, Greece, Finland, Serbia, Russia

2009 - 2016: Norway, Germany, Azerbaijan, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Sweden, Ukraine.

If anything the votes have become more Scandinavian-centric since that's where a lot of the songwriters are from these days.

Ikr. If anything the Juries are more shady than the public.

People be acting brand new over Eurovision. Israel have been in it since the goddman 70s and yet noone bats a fucking eyelash at that. We've had non European winners in Israel and Azerbaijan. Where was the hate then?

No idea actually even when Farid was second a few years back nobody was complaining, but when Australia is second all of a sudden non-European countries should not enter. I don't know where that hatred came from, I guess people are actually fearing that other non-European countries will enter and win... did they forget it's the Eurovision SONG contest, it's not a country contest...

You can look at it the other way around equally. Is it a coincidence that Ukraine and Russia citizens vote for each other? You think it's better to vote based on the geographic location of the country than for political relations with the said country?

Juries gave pretty objective votes. While they may ignore one or two counties out of certain reasons, they at least notice songs that actually deserve to be noticed. The votes showed that televoters are basic bandwagonners who follow the proclaimed favorite or banally vote for their neighbors. They also like to find the underdog of the show and raise it to the top to feel better about themselves.

Also about Poland. Shave the kid and give him a haircut and the performance becomes NIL. His song was boring and after listening to it twice through the competition I have no recollection of how it sounds. Is it because of his eyes? Seems like visuals becoming the worldwide trend.

Sorry to break the ice but Freddie was actually the best looking but his looks and great song got him nowhere.

You know what a great idea for the juries would be

blindfold them and let them listen to the music and vote purely on what they hear. I'm pretty sure the results would be a lot different if people did not know what country it is and what the act looks like. Then we'd actually have an Eurovision Song contest :)

Noone cared that Farid was second, noone cared that Aysel and Arash was 3rd, noone cared that Sabina was 4th, noone cared that Safura was 5th. My point is Azerbaijan always do well in comp but noone gives a flying hoot.

Also Farid  :ahmagah:  *brings him back and cleanses us*

omg the comments are closed, I remember the mess came out that Azerbaijan people bought votes and arrested people who voted for Amernia. Azerbaijan really got Farid in a bit of a mess and they didn't even need to. HOLD ME WAS SO GOOOD. Sergey reminds me a lot of him so I wouldn't even mind Sergey winning because of all that good nostalgia.

Actually, Germany's song wasn't bad at all, but I think the dress totally killed it. Eurovision is not only about songs, it's about putting up a show, and if you mess that, you mess your chances entirely, plain and simple.

And Germans are real butthurt indeed, but Australia's song was better than theirs in all aspects, and that's it.

I bet they're not used to being part of the bottom pit, but as a French, I've been used to being dead last for years now, and not ONCE did it occur to me to blame it on non-European countries being allowed to compete, that's just not fair and objective at all. If your song and show isn't good, then it isn't good. It's okay to be last, it's not the end of everything, look, French and British are very much not affected by it every time it happens to us, and GOD KNOWS IT DID, that's basically what we are famous for!

Which is why I was surprised we ended up in top10 this year, didn't happen for ages!

All of this to be fucking honest. I can't at people whining "But Australia isn't part of Europe WTFBBQ?" and I'm like "Fam have you been following Eurovision for the last decades?" It's clearly not about just Europe anymore, so get on with the fucking program, build a bridge and get over it!

I'm more than opened to new countries joining in each year, to be honest, cause it makes the competition even funnier and awesome.

I actually counted it and Israel joined Eurovision way before most European countries actually started to join...  The influx of European countries came mostly after Israel and Morroco and that was after the 70s... A lot of people don't realize it's not about being in Europe anymore but it's about being part of the EBU. No shit that Australia isn't in Europe, did people miss out on geography classes or not?

I thought Germany was a borefest along with Georgia and Czech Republic.

I have no doubt in my mind that Azerbaijan have bought votes on numerous occasions, esp for their win, but noone gives a shit even though evidence is in public fucking domain. But all of a sudden Ukraine winning is a pity vote, the worst winner ever and Eurovision is suddenly corrupt and just about politics? P L E A S E. I don't want to pit Azerbaijan against Ukraine but I wanted to make that comparison to show how stupid people are, that bought votes and clear manipulation is somehow not as bad as a so called "pity vote"

Exactly. Like Eurovision started with 5-6 countries and now we have over 40. Non European countries have been in it longer than most the European countries.

It is clear Azerbaijan did buy votes because note that their results have not been in the top 10 anymore ever since the scandal. Nobody cares about Azerbaijan anymore lol

Hmm must be just me but I am over who has won and who has lost after a night of sleep lol

Must be my coping mechanism

anyways seriously guys who cares ..ukraine won ..someone else will win next year and maybe germany will be not last  :derp:

Dont you feel bad for Freddie :(

I can't help it being butthurt I love Freddie

he was a basketball player..this sig is better but still not the best :hoplz:

He WAS lol but to me it seems like he was lost in his path I don't like sports anyways so its me denying it. He also did hotel management and his dad was a coach... forgot which sport though

I'm so glad he figured out his life as a musician and entered mine.

But its okay that you are still jealous of him, I understand I would too if I was a straight man and I watched ladies fawn over Freddie

its normal 4LBTLbP.gif

Freddie is goals, tall, athletic, plays guitar, can grow facial hair nicely, looks good, works out etc.

Who wouldn't be jealous. I cant blame you <3

Don't deny your love for Freddie.  :hurr:

He is goals. I also wonder if he's the tallest male to perform as a singing act on Eurovision, he might not but he is a contender because he's 194 cm like.... he really stands out when he takes pictures with other people.

I don't love men :unimpressed:

How tall are you?  You should create his fan club

I would but the thing is I went to his facebook and most of the post are in Hungarian... I have such a hard time following Eurovision acts after because less people translate their stuff :( I'd have to learn Hungarian in order to make a fanclub and Italian as well lmao.

I'm a midget I'm like 5'4 or 164cm, I am so short next to him  :._.:  I have a friend who's nearly as tall and it pains me lol

Adrie is the president of Freddie's fanclub, current population: 1.

Ha-ha so funny I am dying out of laughter, I really can't breathe because that joke was too funny.

:unimpressed:

Is it just me or are Eurovision fans some of the most savage fans I have ever encountered? Not you guys but the ones from YouTube and Facebook. Even after 2 years of following this contest, I'm still surprised at the amount of dislikes most of the ESC YouTube videos have.

Still salty about Russia's lost but whatever. I'll wait for next year.

Well this year saltiness is real, worse things have happen to Eurovision but the hatred is strong on this year's results... I've never seen such a dramatic reaction. It's like everyone ganged up to hate on Ukraine when most people usually hate on Russia... Russia still gets booed every year but I don't think their dislike ratio was actually ever this high like with Jamala.

Wiwibloggs revealing the drama with the juries might be my favorite part of post-Eurovision.

I also found suspicion on the Norwegian vote to Hungary.

3 judges placed Hungary 26th.... one placed him 25th... the other one placed him 17th.

EXPOSE THEM

edit: http://www.eurovision.tv/page/results?event=2113&voter=NO

Norwegian vote has more similar voting patterns not just Hungary but also their votes to Germany.

EXPOSE NORWAY!
