One of the portuguese jury confirmed he voted reverse by mistake haha. Ramon Galarza is his name. https://eurovision.tv/event/kyiv-2017/grand-final/voting-details/portugal

Something else caught my eyes in your link:

What is Radialist? The profession of judge C, Ines Meneses. What kind of profession is this? From hints on google it has something to do with medicine, if so.. why is she the judge?

what are your guys faviourote winners ever?

my fav winning song

the most charming winner

the most entertaining winning

.
I liked most winners from 2003 to 2015. My fav I guess is Alexander Rybak (also shootout to the girl from Iceland who got second that year. Really good song) and Lordi.

I would also have to add that Nocturne song by Norway but I don't remember when they sent it. Oops

The voting itself did not change. They just separated the juries from the televoters. In the traditional way they would combine the standings of the countries set in jury's vote and televote and announce the combined set of points from each country. Now, first they announce the points according to the jury rating, and then they announce the points according to the televoters rating.

My two favorite winners were the song (Serbia 2007)  - Molitva and (Denmark 2013) - Only Teardrops. Usually I fill my music player with songs that did not win. But those two were on replay at some point.

The old method was combined:

UK - 10 points from jury, 0 from televote = 10 points, 3º

Russia - 8 points from jury, 7 televote = 15 points, 1º

Spain - 1 point jury, 12 televote = 13 points 2º

Russia gets the 12, Spain 10 and UK 8.

The new method just gets all the points, not combined. So Russia gets 15, Spain 13 and UK 10.

Thanks for the replies, but i was refering to only the televote. These two years the numbers aren't fixed like the 10 and 12 pts. For example, Austria gets 0 and Australia 2. The question is how are determined those numbers?

Other example:

2016:

First in televote (Russia): 361

2017:

Firs in televote (Portugal): 376

Instead of announcing the televote points from each country like they did with the jury vote, they just summarized the points of the countries that were given to each country and announced the sum. So for example if Portugal is first in televote with 376 points, it could be that Albania gave it 10, Armenia gave it 12 and so on... UK gave it 8 = 10+12+...+8=376.

And it's 1 to 9,10 and 12 or the points changed?

First place gets 12, second 10, third 8, fourth 7, fifth 6, sixth 5, seventh 4, eighth 3, ninth 2 and tenth 1.

That explains it =)

It got me interested in other countries judges, and I saw some journalists and 18-year-olds. Yeah, interesting.

My favourites this year (not in any order) were Belarus, The Netherlands, Portugal, Croatia, Cyprus and Romania, I quite liked Greece as well. I actually liked most of them this year from what I remember but these are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Also the winner from 2009 did a nice tribute cover of this year's winner if anyone's interested :)

  • 4 weeks later...

I need to see a video

I have to say the last 2 eurovision winners have been getting so much hate. Like back in the days before 2015 the winners were actually accepted and well liked. But it dropped so much recently ... Yikes

I mean I didnt like Jamala and This dude either... Eurovision needs to do something.

that sweeden dude of 2015 won with a plagiarized song and everyone didn't complain about it, I guess Eurovision sometimes doesn't make sense. Conchita wasn't well accepted too and she was great imo and Jamala was amazing, too. The jury and public decided the winner, maybe you should vote more for your faves, idk .

Lol I voted for Italy 3 times in 2015 clearly my vote didn't go through as Sweden was chosen as a winner because the Juries dragged Il Volo down even if voted 100 times more it wouldn't have matter since they were 5th/6th by the juries. I am not voting anymore since then.

I think the public has the right to choose the winners since we pay for that shit unlike those juries being chosen. They can rank the others all they want but the juries should stay away from the televote winner as they actually spend their $$$ to win. Plus the cost to vote increases... This year its 10cents more expensive.

So telling me to vote more aint gonna work.

The only reason why I did not like Jamala is because the song was political...way too political "the strangers are coming.. They come to your house and kill you all and say we are not guilty" k.

I'm big on Eurovision but I won't be listening to any of the songs until the actual contest. I don't even know which song my country is sending...

Same for me! Lately I prefer to watch only the finals due to the decreasing overall quality of the song roster, even though these five years have given us BOPS
