This is the worst year in history of Eurovision. Nah, Russia's song was a snoozefest, especially compared to how good their song was last year, this year was definitely NOT on par with that. Australia should have won because they had a better song than Russia and Ukraine, and brought the glitter and the power vocals to the stage, like true Europeans would. They were more European in that regard, than a lot of legit European countries. Also Australia should have won because this Russia (and friends) VS Ukraine (and friends) feud is getting tiresome as hell, and that it would have been a good kick in the nuts of those petty political votes that are ruining the show, even more so when their songs weren't all that great and didn't deserve to win to begin with. Forever salty about Australia, they FUCKING deserved this, and should have won, they clearly had the better song of the three, no single doubt about that. Actually, Germany's song wasn't bad at all, but I think the dress totally killed it. Eurovision is not only about songs, it's about putting up a show, and if you mess that, you mess your chances entirely, plain and simple. And Germans are real butthurt indeed, but Australia's song was better than theirs in all aspects, and that's it. I bet they're not used to being part of the bottom pit, but as a French, I've been used to being dead last for years now, and not ONCE did it occur to me to blame it on non-European countries being allowed to compete, that's just not fair and objective at all. If your song and show isn't good, then it isn't good. It's okay to be last, it's not the end of everything, look, French and British are very much not affected by it every time it happens to us, and GOD KNOWS IT DID, that's basically what we are famous for! Which is why I was surprised we ended up in top10 this year, didn't happen for ages! People be acting brand new over Eurovision. Israel have been in it since the goddman 70s and yet noone bats a fucking eyelash at that. We've had non European winners in Israel and Azerbaijan. Where was the hate then? All of this to be fucking honest. I can't at people whining "But Australia isn't part of Europe WTFBBQ?" and I'm like "Fam have you been following Eurovision for the last decades?" It's clearly not about just Europe anymore, so get on with the fucking program, build a bridge and get over it! I'm more than opened to new countries joining in each year, to be honest, cause it makes the competition even funnier and awesome.
