Undoubtedly there would be plenty. It was a popular and respected genre. Today, I'm probably going to have to steal everyone's favourites. (Sorry.

The YouTube algorithm really did do wonders in bringing this song and genre back to the forefront of the digital age. I'm exaggerating, of course. But seriously, a music video to accompany the release after 35 years is pretty impressive. Not to mention, it's a classic and timeless beat

Yubin should be commended in her attempt to perform in this (underrated) genre for her debut. It's a shame we never got that unreleased track because of its similarities with 'Plastic Love

I am thankful that Yoon Jongshin included these two women in his monthly projects! According to Soompi, I think 'A Train to Chuncheon' fits in this genre. There's a Japanese version too for 'My Type'!

I believe this genre should be explored further, especially in Korean music! Everything is not only nostalgic; it also provides a breadth of opportunities for artists or performers to creatively explore or combine different sounds and concepts.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your recommendations! Plastic Love is surely something 😄 I think that Plastic Love was even the one that paved the way to me. It is one of the songs that I can't never ever skip when it comes around.

I am familiar with Yubin's discography and I know that all of her releases have been inspired by the retro/city pop sound. I even loved Lady and her most recent comeback. (But failed to mention her in my post :/). And I still hope that one day someone will leak her 'Plastic Love' song version. I am actually surprised that it still didn't get out. Usually fans go around and leak the excerpt of the song even if it doesn't get released. Like what happened with CLC's La Vie en Rose. xD

I forgot about A train to Chuncheon existence! This was a good reminder to me 😄 It is such a nice and make feel good song, wow!

I would love to see more artists do it. I think it is one of the sounds that I can't ever get tired of and I feel like that there's so much yet to explore.

Yukika has been said to release her full length album early 2020, but can't say what kind of sound her album may possess. Hopefully they bring more of her Neon and Cherries Jubiles sound in the release. Loved both songs from her so either way I am very excited to hear more from her.
