Is SM Incapable of Producing a Classic Hit Group Anymore?

It's not only SM. Idol groups in general have it harder nowadays to hit big compared to 2-3 years ago because the market is saturated and the GP don't care about idol groups that much anymore. But I think SM ngg has a chance to hit big because they're very anticipated.

I agree the Super M project seems a bit pointless tho.

red velvet are f(x) 2.0 but less popular

I'd say RV is more popular. They have more hit songs, sell more and Irene alone is more recognized than any f(x) member except maybe Krystal.

NCT music is not it for mass appeal, their next NBG might hit it big than NCT lol

SM NGG is anticipated by me to outclash Twice, BP,RV,ITZY in 2020.

Blackpink's international popularity is suuuper hard to beat tho, just look at their massive views and tour numbers.

Twice's physical numbers are hard to beat as well, but yeah chart-wise they could debut with a smash hit a la ITZY if the song is really good/catchy.

f(x) at their peak were more popular

really? I always see people saying that f(x) only had a couple of hits (Danger and Electric Shock) but RV has more known hits, like Russian Roulette, Red Flavor, Peekaboo, Bad Boy, Psycho etc
