source: personal experience

edit: and like n3bula said bp are a safe bet too, one of my close friends who muted my RTs on twt because "too much kpop" jams to kill this love

I see times have really changed lol

Pre-2017, any time this type of question was asked, the popular answer use to be anything Big Bang. Followed by 2ne1 and specifically BTS 'Fire' or 'Dope". Because they were Western friendly.

Nowadays, there are so many groups that experiment with Western sounds and concepts.

Also with BTS being so popular and Kpop spreading so much, I think people are a lot more open. I say anything popular during the year is worth showing e.g. Fancy, Feel Special, Gotta go, Boy with luv, Hip, etc...

I can get most of my friends to listen to BTS just because they recognize the name, in which case Boy With Luv is pretty representative of Kpop while still being Western friendly with the Halsey feature. I've also had a lot of success with SHINee's tracks like Married to the Music and Replay, but Red Velvet's velvet stuff would fit that sound too if you want to show them a girl group
