Lots of cheap trendy clothes, or a handful of quality clothes?

I have... A handful of cheap clothes lmao

My clothes are from vegan materials as in, no wool, fur, leather etc but I also wanna look into buying fairtrade clothes (so the humans who made it get paid well too) and that the materials are also fairtrade and biological. But when I looked up such brands... I ain't gonna pay 50+ euros for a simple black top lmao just imagine what a sweater will cost or a pair of pants... I'll have to starve for a couple of months if I want a wardrobe like that... And it's not even my style (what I've seen so far)

I do consider H&M good quality tho... I was used to even less, till I started making my own money that is... I mostly buy from ONLY nowadays which is a bit more expensive but still affordable and decent quality (and trendy) then H&M and C&A from time to time and a local store (tho Idk where the clothes come from, quality really varies, so do sizes)

I believe it should be possible to make clothes fairtrade but still affordable... Pay 5 euros for a top or 50, there should be something in between right...

Oh and note that over the past few years I had an ED relapse, also my metabolism changed drastically a few times... Buying stuff for the longterm is not a good idea, I tried that with some basic clothes but none of them fit anymore and I refuse to get skinnier now (already lost a bit when I freaking tried to gain) while some jeans have gotten too big by now...
