perf-k 2019 kbs gayo is the worst camerawork in the history of camerawork and the existence of cameras

usually if camerwork is bad I can get myself to look past it and still enjoy the performance but this is beyond bad. every performance ive seen so far has been ruined due to shitty camerawork

Camerawork during bts' performances were also very bad but at least there were lots of close ups shots of Jimin so I'm happy ~

It feels like they are competing on who's the crappiest year end festival this year, they were already bad in the previous years but this year they hit a new low

The whole thing was just bizarre....I don't honestly understand how professional camera operators with a director and technical bus in support can be so so bad. 

 

It's just so odd to me how time and time again Korean TV delivers some of the worst camera work around, but this was on a whole other level. I mean having terrible angles and missing almost every cue is bad enough when it's live but even on the pre recorded stages it was horrible...like dont they watch it back and think to themselves it kinda sucks maybe they should re-shoot??

The Gayo's this year are pretty much a big yikes all around...waiting to see will MBC save the day or more of the same shit?

I didn't watch the performances besides this one I saw on my tlist and I was amazed at what they did here. In a 2 minutes special stage of 3 idols, one of them gets completely edited out, not one single close shot of him. You could not guess he was in the performance if you only watched this. Anyone know what Yugyeom did to KBS to have them do this to him? Cause this was more than 'bad camera work'

side note, but the lighting is also rlly terrible? i've never seen idols have that flashback effect bc of their light bb cream during a PERFORMANCE.

It clear that they aren't training their camera crew properly. I wonder if they lost a lot of veteran ones and the new recruits/PDs aren't up to par yet and/or management are dropping resources to this aspect of the show.
