LONDON - A recent Pottermore update will now require users to upload pictures of their genitals in order to confirm their gender at the behest of author J.K Rowling. 

 

“People are free to do as they please,” Rowling stated on Twitter. “But visually confirming every fan’s genitals before they join the site is the best thing we can do to ensure everyone’s safety. It is crucial to the Harry Potter community.”

 

Rowling has gradually opened up about her gender critical views on social media, and as a self proclaimed feminist, she has promised her followers to put her beliefs into action.

“As a feminist, it is important to me to acknowledge sex as a reality,” Rowling explained. “Your born sex and body is absolutely the metric by which you should be judged as a person. You can’t just change some important part of your backstory years after the fact. That would be ridiculous.”

personally i agree with everything she said in court up to the (59) but i don't care to go and sift through her personal feelings and twits. from judge's ruling i suspect the problem laid in the PC area.

Rowling was kinda messy but i would agree with her on that one.

sorry i didn't understood at first that this "news" was a satire of her statement about defending a transphobic person (even bc i didn't know about it). that is why when people do those kinda of posts need to explain in the main post for those who are not awared on the drama could understand the matter

JK rowling only stated facts in her tweet and I agree with her. Also I think it’s disgusting how that woman got fired from her job for calling a man (who wears suits and has a beard and who literally looks like a man) a “he”. WTF has the world come to.

Are you really sure you agree with JK Rowling because your following sentence tells me you aren't fully aware of who JK is defending and what she says or believes?

I don't know if your comment about Maya misgendering someone is about Gregor Murray or not, but in that case, she says that she forgot that Gregor's pronouns were "they/them" not "he." However, she later says that "Murray is a man" even though they identify as non-binary. She goes on to state that she'll use "he" as a pronoun to whomever she considers male even if that person says otherwise because she feels that "it is important that people are able to refer to the sex of other people accurately and without hesitation, shame or censure." 

She also says, "“Yes I think that male people are not women. I don’t think being a woman/female is a matter of identity or womanly feelings. It is biology”" She is being dismissive of trans people and refuses to acknowledge them. She then goes on to say that she would "treat any trans woman as an honorary female." Once again, she refuses to refer to any trans person by correct pronouns or acknowledge them trans women as women. In fact, Maya actually flat out denies that trans women are women and says that people shouldn't "play along with literal delusions" about calling them women. Maya also knows that saying something like "trans women are men" is offensive but goes on to say that she's not going to stop saying it. 

She also thinks the inclusion of trans people put women in danger and impedes on their rights and has expressed this sentiment multiple times. Here are a couple of examples:

“I think that framing the question of transgender inclusion as an argument that male people should be allowed into women's spaces discounts women's rights to privacy and is fundamentally illiberal (it is like forcing Jewish people to eat pork).” 

“In particular while it may be disappointing or upsetting to some male people who identify as women to be told that it is not appropriate for them to share female-only services and spaces, avoiding upsetting males is not a reason to compromise women’s safety, dignity and ability to control their own boundaries as to who gets to see and touch their bodies.”

She legitimately believes that the existence of trans people in some of these space puts women in danger and basically is letting everyone know that she considers trans women as men and violent people on top that. This kind of stereotype is common among transphobic people like her.

Maya also refuses to acknowledge trans people who have Gender Recognition Certificates, and she doesn't not accept and refuses to abide by the Gender Recognition Act either. 

Her clear dislike for trans people is really apparent at this point, no? She has been blatantly transphobic in not only her tweets but the statements she gave during her case trial. She is a TERF and has no remorse about that so long as it serves her political agenda.

Well she’s right... sex is biologically! You’re either Male, Female, or Intersex!

 

but gender is how you identify... so that bitch who want to go around harrasing trans people deserve to lose her job! 

 

However at the same time.. people need to realize how the REAL world works.. NO ONE for the most part is gonna take you serious when you say you are a women but never try to transition and still walk around with a big beard and hairy chest! Take it how you want..

JK Rowling is right though. It just baffles me that acknowledging biological sex is this controversial. A woman got fired over calling this dude a he while he was a full on beard and doesn't appear female whatsoever, yet It's ok for him to call her a cunt? Guess thats the prefered pronoun now for women who see womanhood as a biological reality and not some feeling in a dudes head.
