Zhejiang TV issues apology with lengthy explanation on Godfrey Gao’s passing and announce that Chase Me will be cancelled

they think an apology and cancelling of the program is enough to pay for a person's life.

This COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED. They committed manslaughter, and god knows what waits for these greedy for ratings production crew members.

How intense? Insanely. I checked out the first episode online (embedded below) and, from a viewer’s perspective, it wasn’t exciting at all — it was plain exhausting. Ninja Warrior is fun; Chase Me isn’t.

Godfrey Gao suffered a heart attack while running and witnesses at the scene saw that the cameramen were all asked to film him and nobody called for ambulance or the medical staff on site for help until they saw him not moving. His heart had already stopped by then and it was two actors who cried and shouted for people to help and then the ambulance was called.

The ambulance also took a long time to arrive on the scene, rumoured 17 minutes and he was then sent to the hospital for rescue but passed on ultimately within 3 hours.
