I wonder if she's going to trump 2NE1's record

But Lady Gaga actually has a fanbase and the ability to make good music (herself) outside of a country which is only the 20th biggest music market in the world sis

Let us not compare Lady Gaga and 2NELocal in any area

I miss her a lot :c

I hope she'll announce the release of her lead single soon.

All these performances in award shows are boring cuz she's not in it.

You better stan for Gaga's best tour.

but it's worth it

her albums are always worth the wait

Born This Way was terrible, though. ARTPOP sounds like it'll be less of MadonnaGa and more of TheFameGa, so I'm here for it.

The Monster Ball interludes were flawless  :lub: I was so disappointed the BTWB didn't really have any cool interludes.

Anyway. ARTPOP IN AUGUST, apparently  :ahmagah: Or at least the lead single. I swear, I'll be so pissed if she won't release anything in August. I've waited long enough

BTW was not terrible imo

it's my favorite and her best album ... it has different beats and i think Art Pop should be a mix of that and The Fame

It's coming in August. She's been waiting to try and take the spotlight away from other artists (she and Beyoncé LOVE to do that), but I doubt she'd miss the VMAs. Unless Beyoncé or Britney announce their lead singles soon, Gaga will probably wait till August.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree there. I though TF+M were perfect, but BTW would have gotten a 4/10 from me.

I saw that tour nine times sis. xoxox I stan for that tour like a baby stans for breast milk.

And yes, the preaching will be on ARTPOP but take a minor (special edition tracks) seat. But TheFameMonsterGa is what we all want; making commercial yet innovative pop music which sounds good, high quality videos and an era handled brilliantly unlike that Judas, Edge of Glory travesty and then the EOG video etc etc

this too - an incredible opening

Yas, girl, yas. It really was a great tour. I LOVED the "Paparazzi" performance.

I need the preaching somewhere I can disregard it completely, hopefully like an iTunes pre-order version or a Target only edition. And I don't even think TheFameMonsterGa was "commercial" as much as it set commercial trends. Granted Kat DeLuna was already buzzworthy with the RedOne sound and Blackout was huge, so it was kind of like Rihanna's influence, where Gaga took a kind of big sound and capitalized it.

The Lovegame performance was alway my favourite tbh. The entire tour was flawless tbh. The BTW ball which I also went to see was just okay. The music on it was generally shit though.

Songs like Hair are what she needs to do if she wants to continue that theme though; not necessarily preaching but still maintaining that empowerment message although I just want her to ditch that and sing about how she craves dick at this stage.

I have no idea who Kat DeLuna is though and lets not pretend like Red One's sound was basically a formulation of his ideas and Gaga's combined. Gaga had more influence sonically than you give her credit for. FutureSex LS, Loose and Blackout basically started the electro pop trend but they were largely electro-pop urban releases. The Fame followed that trend somewhat but with a purely electro-pop sound and then TFM went for a more industrial form of electro-pop setting new trends herself. Regardless, BTW was shit and ARTPOP will slay

LG was also perfect. I was so excited for BTW because I love medieval stuff and castles, but she couldn't even get the outfits right for it.

And "Hair" needs to go, too, imo. I can take more of "Bloody Mary" and "Scheibe" and "Marry the Night" on her next album, but the rest needs to stay on the ground where it crashed to on her album's second charting week.

Kat DeLuna was the girl who popularized RedOne.

If streaming had counted for the Hot 100, she would've blown up. Radio refused to play her because her label didn't give her a big enough push (you can guess why they didn't see her as marketable yet Lady Gaga was, even though Kat's a better dancer and has an operatic vocal range). TF+M were definitely influential, but they were just a mixture of Blackout and "Whine Up" (granted I love all three albums and Kat's song).
