the sajaegi scandal is actually a huge mess

I just thought about it. here' s the thing 

now that it's proven that Melon is full of loopholes that make it easy to manipulate the chart, throwing an accusation of doing sajaegi to everyone  is going to be imminent. 

let's talk about idol groups 

 it happened before (physical sales) and the most famous case was with BTS defamation attempts . It actually reached BTS themselves and hurt them. Antis accused them of doing sajaegi  with their album sales and trended  hashtags . . In the past,   Armys had to show their buying receipts and even BigHit went to court to prove their innocence. 

 the different thing is that manipulating physical sales  can be easily proven  compared to the digitals especially  that Melon proved unable to resolve the issues. 

 fanwars wise,  any group that will  make it digitally or have a hit song may  get dragged by antis and be accused of manipulation   so imagine the mess . 

I don't want this to happen. I don't want what happened with BTS to happen again with any group. I hope the issue gets resolved soon.

Kpop fans should not be outraged by the manipulation of perception.

 

They should just embrace who they are and what they do, but that would require a certain level of self awareness and levity that is beyond them.

Oh yeah but overall I am sure which songs are sajaegied this year. I just don't get the feeling GP are into idol music this year much.

I wonder if Melon will actually do something to try to close those loopholes, or at least be more transparent about what's happening. Singers and music executives have been calling out sajaegi for a few years now. But it seems like more and more of them are getting fed up and we starting to see that now. Especially if people get brave like Park Kyung and start naming names (though still quite risky if they have difficulties proving it).
