Who owned this decade?

I think it's fair to put exo as a foot note as well. They pretty much owned 2013 - 2015. And twice as well, as many people thought we'd never see someone surpass SNSD for years .

I'm not talking about a specific achievement each year that was done by many. I'm talking about owning  . Creating a legacy , breaking records and making history

Again, who did it like bangtan?

2010-2014 SNSD

2010-2016 BB

2013-2016 EXO

2017-2019 BTS

2016-2019 TWICE

BUT BTS's numbers are much more bigger than those four

so overall, its BTS objectively. And I mean they literally paved the way for kpop in western nations

hate to admit cuz I hate armpits but yup

Yeah, if we look at everything as a whole it's BTS, but a decade is a long time and to sum it up just as BTS seems awkward because it's not telling the whole story.

Exactly. The thing is BTS didn't make a lot of their groundbreaking achievements until the latter years of the decade. To say they "owned" this decade is misleading.

When you take this into consideration I think what BTS has achieved will set the stage going forward for the next decade.

Well no one. BTS were the biggest achievers for the decade no boubt but they didn't "own" it. Like I pointed out, they only made waves during the latter years. We'll absolutely see how their impact will affect K-pop going forward though, definitely.

The wording is just off, that's all. Feel free to disagree.

just like  how they chose Gee as the song of decade despite being released later in the decade. BTS CAN be the artist of the decade given their tremendous legacy

Exactly. Gee was released in January 2009 and was declared Song of the Decade even though it was released really late.

BTS has been a top group from 2015 - 2020 (top 3). They are undisputedly #1 from 2017 - 2020, and they have no competition at the moment in the following categories: fandom support, public support, worldwide & Korean popularity, physicals, touring, digitals and legacy.

Korean music experts have stated that if they had to choose three of the most influential artists ever in Korean music, they would choose:

1. Cho Yong-pil (debuted in 1969; 50 years)

2. Seo Taiji (debuted in 1992; 27 years)

3. BTS (debuted in 2013; 6 years)
