Not sure about best picture, that's going to be really tough even with all the raving reviews about. Best foreign Language Film is in the bag already though imo. 

I liked the film, but too many people are hyping it to be the second coming of jesus and it definitely isn't that. Still a great film. I feel like with each year we get fewer and fewer amazing films, so this was a breath of fresh air.

Its a high contender for best picture but idt it will win. It will prob get nom for director and screenplay and i can't see it losing foreign language film

Great chance to win Oscar for Foreign Language Film. Lots of favor in North American market so far. Thou as far as I remember no Palme d'Or has won Oscar in this category.

Btw it's just shortlisted for Best Foreign Language Film and Best original song.

Korean cinema is seriously underrated, hopefully yes and hopefully that will open a new door for K-cinema internationally.

Yes I hope so, the plot is original, the acting is superb and the visual effects and production design are spot-on
