i like the idea and the fact that they actually made the hinge work is impressive. i am sure other companies will be taking notes as this fixes the problem most foldable phones have. but 1500 is too much for something that will only please me aesthetically. if it was 300-500$, im sure it would sell like hot cakes. I know i am not the only one who missed snapping my phone shut like before 😁

It's more of a market strategy to show power as a tech company and they also appealed to nostalgic feelings.

Motorola knows they won't sell a bunch of these, of course. They didn't launch this thinking of commercial success but to show to people that they're still on the game, and it shows. This has been showing quite frequently around places I didn't expect I'd see. People are impressed with it, some even fancy it and they know it's pricey.

All in all, Motorola was successful in what they intended releasing this: buzz.

That makes sense! I'll give them credit for that. Maybe deep down I'm just bitter I never got to have a Razr during their boom lol
