British designer Stella McCartney deleted an Instagram photo she posted of the Duchess of Sussex after followers claimed she was inappropriately promoting her brand during Remembrance Day, the U.K.'s version of Veterans Day, which honors veterans and fallen service members.

McCartney initially shared an image of Duchess Meghan attending a commemorative military service yesterday, Remembrance Sunday, when she wore a black belted coat by the designer. "So honoured to have HRH Duchess of Sussex in our Autumn '19 coat at Remembrance Day service. x Stella," she wrote in the caption, Page Six reported.

While some followers praised Meghan's ensemble, according to the outlet, a number of commenters responded disapprovingly to the post, claiming McCartney was being disrespectful to the solemn occasion and promoting her line. The post has since been taken down, but the designer has not responded to the backlash.

Beyond yesterday's engagement, Meghan has worn McCartney's designs a number of times, including the reception following her royal wedding to Prince Harry. "I was honoured and I still am," the designer told ELLE U.K. of the opportunity.

"I think Meghan chose me for reasons other than just a beautiful dress—plenty of people can do that. She is not a difficult client to make look beautiful," she added, noting that "being a women's woman played a part" in being the chosen designer.

The duchess stunned in the white, high-neck number as she and Prince Harry stepped out for their private evening reception at Windsor's Frogmore House.

Girl this is extra as hell. My uncle is a vet, as us my grandpa, great grandpa... and so on. And I'm just saying for me. But i think its overdramatic. Like yea u shouldn't disrespect vets, non the less on veterans/remembrance day. And if she promote her brand.  Girl its luxury fashion,  not like the average joe who sees her post gonna bit it but if a public figure publicly wears her coat & she posts abt it on the day...its disrespectful. Bs tbh, ppl just have this hate boner for MM. Again don't mean 2 be disrespectful 2 vets but like am i out of the loop? Is this some huge serious day to everyone else.  Like i was literally working all ytd morning/day...I get if there's a vet in ur direct fam or u are one.  Butt 2 say her post is blanketly offensive just for being posted on the day us bs tbh. Hags for some reason have to spend their whole days hating on twt (or ig in this case)  anything MM related. Bc if i look at tweets or comments hating her its all these old hags that should have sumn better to do w their time
