Mnet Clarifies That There Has Been No Discussion Of Disbanding IZ*ONE And X1

An official from Mnet has stated that there are no plans of disbanding IZ*ONE and X1. This comes after reports that their company was in talks of dismantling the groups.

The official stated,

"It is true that IZ*ONE’s new album has been postponed, but there are no talks about them disbanding. We are currently discussing their future activities, but no specific decision has been made, and disbandment is not even in discussion."

Rumors of disbandment started spreading follow the Produce series PD Ahn Joon Young for rigging the votes of the last two seasons of the show, Produce 48 and PRODUCE X 101.

With illegitimate members within these groups, public distrust on the integrity of these groups, a whole myriad of legal problems can arise if anyone tries to collaborate with these groups on anything.

I think if no reforms are made, no new contracts are signed, these groups could be eventually shunned by everyone if the public fraud charges are not fully addressed to satisfaction.

Some kpop fans think that young age and working hard onstage will grant immunity from such charges or such taint, but it doesn't work that way if people suspect that some of these rigged members were actually aware that they had secret, illegal advantages over other trainees or members.
