i just find it interesting that suddenly because there's a chance for bts, it's easy for anybody to get an invitation to the grammys

The Grammys is musics biggest night and about awarding and acknowledging musical excellence!

They would never let Superm on their stage! Hell One Direction wasn’t even invited to sit in the audience!

Record labels have have no pull at the Grammys because the committee is so big and spread out and not everyone is even allowed to vote in every category.

Plus the Grammys only let people perform who made some type of noise that award season and they only typically only perform songs from the material they’re nominated for! On rare occasion are artist allowed to debut a single (Lady Gaga Born This Way).

Superm even with all the forced and aggressive marketing is still virtual unknown outside of the kpop community with no real demand in the US hence why their tour is still not Sold out (which start tomorrow btw). If they were to get on stage that would be what we in America when watching the Grammy call “bathroom / snack break”

its been discussed before, back when bts first broke through the US, that they would open the door/ make it easier for other kpop acts to follow through.

doesnt mean every kpop group is going to make it/ treated like BTS.

But BTS has made it easier for kpop groups who want to follow that path.

edit: i dont mean to derail this thread. i just dont think its impossible.

we haven't went in a circle yet..but yes if i was you i would want to end this discussion too😅

let's be real...nowadays superm is the new joke some people love to use (or drag) when trolling about the west or bts...before them it was bp or mx (tho even their trolls are a lot more reasonable when it comes to the grammys...)

nothing is impossible, of course. have a good day❤️

Considering the fact that the Grammys are ferociously trying to fix their image, taking some money for a superm perf, that would get them neither buzz, nor viewers, seems very far fetched and not worth the hassle.

Lol dissing nominees for someone not on the radar would be suicide for their rep.

Lately none of american institutes are worrying about own image. They're busy making profit from their reputations built through decades like there's no tomorrow or more like tomorrow Armageddon is gonna happen. And "crazy rich asians" are the first ones who ready to buy western prestige to improve own reputation in front of own people.

So yeah, Super M also can take a stage. With connections and money they have it's pretty possible. Moreover they have Chinese members and that can bring Grammy lots of profits.

If it's collaboration with another artist or group who got Grammy nomination then Super M don't have to be nominated. Their nominated partner can give them free pass to Grammy stage.

BTS at the Grammys is what we've been asking for since 2017. We actually have a real shot next year. I feel like every door they have stormed through in the US is leading to that stage. It's like the final frontier for them, the mountain top.

Plus, Suga has already said he wanted it and ARMYs know how that goes 😉

This all sounds nonsensical!

The only “Chinese” member is Lucas and he’s a Hong Konger!  And he’s not even that popular in China.

SuperM has no real demand anywhere quite frankly. Korean, US, Japan, China!  Their tour is flopping.

If if China was to try to be one of the many sponsors for the Grammys and try to finesse a Chinese artist to perform it would be just that A CHINESE ARTIST, so Kris Wu or hell even Jackson would have a better chance than SuperM who is marketed a a KPOP group. Why would China pay to spread Hallyu? Instead of their own communist agenda!
