Didn't care about catering to international fans. And that sort of made them more popular with Koreans. However times are changing. Especially since the rise of BTS, in my opinion. And most recently Melon announced they will redefine identity and change the name to MMA. Internationally friendly. The award show not the chart. Two different departments. 2. It make sense Melon wanted to keep the streams only Korean. Ifans would inflate the charts.
