G-idle doing the EXPERIMENTAL right

Belkiss

Recommended Posts

The latest trend of kpop is to call any bad song "experimental".

Thank God we have g-idle and genius Soyeon. All their songs that have been released so far are very distinctive and the group successfully established their own identity in both music style and concept. They experiment a lot but the result is quality and freshness.  Idle is that group that will keep you on edge thinking what could they do next? What will they add to the tables? This is QUALITY

No one is doing it like queen-idle

Stream the bop of the year

Their music is creative but I wouldn't call it experimental...

Something new and fresh in general that is different from the rest

, new sounds and style , each song is different form the other. They are not bound with the cute/girl crush duality. They bring different concepts

I think (G)I-dle innovate within the formula, while other "experimental" songs just ditch the formula all together. Not saying one is better than the other because I love both.

i agree, it's pretty experimental for kpop but this is more similar to western productions in some aspects.

you are right about others calling experimental songs bad, here we have one that's not bad and they say they wouldn't call it experimental. lol. show me any ggs that is doing the same or something even remotely similar

I love the song but I can't really agree.

It's like when people insist that YG groups are experimental, when in most cases that's really not what it is, just having a more American/Western sound does not equal experimental.

It sounds like a minimalist version of their other songs (besides the one that has a 90s hip hop beat).  Honestly Itzy has the best experimental yet palatable sound imo.  They remind me of Twice before they started going mainstream with their sound (cheer up, LOA)
