Idols at the essence are there to appeal, visually, auditorily, and emotionally. As long as the idols, whether its boy groups or girl groups, have to wear make-up, wear nice dresses, act like they are the ideal boyfriends or girlfriends in front of camera or any audiences, and have to perform on stage or appear in media to gain and satisfy their fans then in the essence there are no difference between the idols and therefore most likely not much differences between the stans too.
