Pledis - Excel in choreography (e.g. Seventeen, After school, etc.)

oh wow, I didn't know Pledis' CEO used to be BoA's manager and that he helped form SHINee. It's too bad he can't really manage his own company, though.

meanwhile I majored in Japanese language and can't find jobs outside of working in Japanese restaurants for minimum wage...

I'd really like to know how some of these CEOs landed a career in an industry entirely different from their majors, especially those that majored in a foreign language.

Education level is very important but I think going to one of the SKY universities (Seoul, Korea, Yonsei) really helps out with networking and support from other alumni from the same school.  Especially fellow alumni working in the world of advertising, journalism, media, and politics.  Being chummy with lawyers and judges who graduated from the SKY universities would be a benefit too.  Plus knowing or having pictures of someone wasted at a college-era party or get-together is useful leverage.

This isnt accurate bc neither JYP or YG are ceos of their companies, and while I agree yg is garbage I am not a fan of the whole "people are only smart if they go to college" mentality, esp in an industry where so many young idols are forced to drop out of school for their careers

I have never laughed this much in my life... geology means down to earth ..

and here is eye opener for  everyone...each and every kpop grp is created aka manufactured ( man who even started using this term to insult kpop) 

the moment you put  many boys together under a company with an intent of making not just music but profit..u r manufacturing (in ur words)

and if company produces another grp..the production line carries on..
