Different mind set and different culture.  I know for you western folk this can be hard to understand, but the world doesn't revolve around you or your way of life. A good many of us Koreans do not accept the way of thinking that person has  on homosexuality and drugs BUT the majority do and so does the culture, that being said you have to try and understand why things are the way they are so try putting yourself in these people's shoes and learn/experience the culture from the ground up  not just listen to kpop you won't learn as much about why shit is the way it is from that, you will need a deep dive into our culture that includes boring things and history etc.

In the same way that the world doesn’t revolve around western society, the world also doesn’t revolve around korean society. I’m allowed to have my own perspective and my own opinion based on the values I was raised with. I don’t need to follow your way of thinking just because I like Kpop lol. My love for Kpop is completely separate from how I feel about Korean society and politics.

And by the way, just because your country demonizes feminism and homosexuality doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s right. You should have your own principles of right and wrong instead of simply following what other people around you think... that’s that sheep mentality...

Korea was part of the Japanese colonial empire. Emphasis on colonial. The country is different that Western democracies with a +70 yo industry and a long history of feminist. We just can understand them, their Grandparents were born during occupation, they were raised different, we can't even imagine what kind of live they have, what kind of society they grew up in

Sorry for my english 🙆

Smh I understand that history and I can respect it but that doesn’t mean I have to accept things as they are. Did you even read my response to that other user? I’m allowed to have my own opinion, I don’t have to conform to the way that another culture or society thinks lmao. I’m Asian American and I’m gay, do you think I was born with privilege? My whole life there was a huge disparity between who I was and who I was told to be, but I stuck to my own truth. Think for yourself.
