Baekhyun liked when he heard that SuperM could continue promoting

SuperM gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look at their U.S. debut and promotions in “SuperM the Beginning.”

When they were asked how they took on the difficult challenge of forming one group together, Ten replied, “I thought that it was a joke at first.” Mark added, “We all arrived in separate cars, and we looked like Transformers.”

Leader and oldest member Baekhyun explained, “I don’t think I would’ve wanted to do it if it was going to be a one-time thing. I liked when I heard that we could continue promoting.” Kai stated, “I was inspired by looking at artists in the North American market and wanted to try as well.”

“I was the first one to hear about the group being formed,” revealed Taemin. “I exchanged opinions with the agency about the group.”

Unless they have a blow up song that SM wants for some reason, I don't think it will last long anyway. After a while it will just be more profitable to not anger fans and keep promoting where they make the most money 

I also don't think we can really tell how much the members like this anyway

I feel like all the members seem enjoy being in this group together. It's just all the fans that are pissed LOL. Honestly, I don't really care because I love all of the original groups and this SuperM line up and it's not like they won't be promoting in their original groups anyway. Don't understand why it's such a huge deal aside from SM being a dumb shit with the wack promotions.

I still don't get why SHINee and NCT fans would be annoyed by SuperM. NCT still get regular promotions and SHINee...can't promote right now. 

EXO is a different story, but maybe the members wanted to do some solo activities this year? We got a subunit, Baekhyun debut, Chen debut and solo, concert and some activities from CBX earlier in the year. 

It's frustrating that SM isn'y giving EXO multiple comebacks this year considering enlistment, but that's not because of SuperM. SuperM is just a separate project that really doesn't interfere with much of anything.

While SuperM does not seem like it'll have a direct impact on SHINee, Taemin being in this group means that he'll likely be enlisting later, prolonging the SHINee drought. Minho and Key enlisted earlier than required and while I get that it's Taemin's choice, it'll be better for SHINee if he enlisted earlier. However, this SuperM thing is likely going to drag his enlistment.

Here’s the thing, no matter what the guys say about their original groups, in the end its not their decision. It’s not. it’s SM’s decision and that’s the reality. If this group gets a hit song, which lbr theres a good chance they eventually will, SM isn’t going to see much of a need to try with Exo anymore. Even more than they already do. They got a new group that will make them money.

This whole “we will focus on our original group they're important too” like if their new group is successful why the fuck would SM need to really invest in their original groups. 

I don’t like the idea of this being permanent and I never will.

I think his enlistment was going to be dragged out either ways due to his solo activities. I do get what you mean though and it is frustrating.

Yea he obviously didn't enlist at the same time as the older members not only because he's younger but also for his solo activities. However there's only so much solo activities he could possibly do. I honestly expected him to enlist sometime next year but this SuperM thing is gonna drag it out. He'll be hanging around just for this group which is a terrible deal because at least the rest of the members have their primary group activities to do. A SHINee reunion is going to be further away and harder. It's unlikely SM will do anything about SHINee as a trio (not when their favourite Taemin isn't around) so this actually impacts the other 3 members too. They've already lost Jonghyun and suffered alot, it's a little sad thinking what will they do as individuals and not really have the support of SHINee as a group once they finish their military service.
