Why do so many kpop fans want kpop to become popular in America

I got the feeling that many kpop fans(at least international fans) want kpop to become popuar in America. Why?

I think it's mainly because we want more shows to come here. It's not often our faves get to come here and go to a lot of cities. Most the time they just come to NYC and LA, which leaves the majority of us with the inability of seeing groups live.

It would be nice to not half to buy stuff online at a marked-up price. It would be cool if merch was actually sold in stores (if just in like the International District... but still!). Before Doctor Who became popular here, I spent a hundred dollars on the first season box set. ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR ONE SEASON.

I feel like the idea has died... but like mentioned earlier, it used to be more of a popular idea a few years ago. I'm personally fine with k-pop never making its way into mainstream America media.

Rather than purposeful American advancement, I like when k-pop gets shout-outs for just being k-pop. Though I do wish idols came to America more often.
