I may have menstrual cramp while on a trip. It most likely to be tomorrow, while I am on the plane. It's not like I can ask for some ginger tea or lie down while I am on the plane. Besides, after landing I will still have to go somewhere else before I could go to the hotel. What should I do??? I don't want to use medicine cuz I have never used them before and I don't know what would happen

Is there sth I can do so that I won't be in much pain tomorrow?

I think that's fairly normal, especially if you've haven't had your period for a long time. Your period can also be abnormal if you're going through emotional distress or not eating well. When my grandma passed away, my period was three weeks late thanks to how sad I was. I think if your period continues being short or if it stops coming, then you should see your doctor again.

Lately (past two cycles but especially the latest one a few days ago), I've been hit with severe dysmenorrhea (I'm talking 2 hours puking stomach acid until my throat hurts, can't hold pills down, loose bowels, feeling like my uterus is being ripped from the inside, trembling limbs....) which I haven't had since about 5-6 years ago.

It's weird because the cycles before have been particularly calm (Minimal pain, no vomiting, just pop a Naproxen pill take a nap and you're set) but that's maybe cuz I stopped exercising.

Do y'all know of some tips for me to avoid going through hell next month or shall I just go and beg for a stronger NSAID prescription from my doc ?

I'm binging again.... i'm so tired of this i'm tired of hating myelf and not wanting to look in the mirror and i'm tired of getting a stomach ache from all the food. I feel disgusting and out of control. I don't remember one day in the last 5 years when I haven't either binged or tried to starve myself.

Okay I know this is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay late, but for future reference, take ibuprofen. It's just a mild over-the-counter pain medication, there's no risk if you follow the directions on how much/how often to take it. I take two to prevent menstrual cramps and it gets rid of them completely for several hours, I think you can take more after like 6 hours. I know this is from a million years ago but I just wanted to suggest it in case you didn't think of it, cause menstrual cramps suck.

I'm sorry you're going through that. I never had anything quite to the point of an eating disorder but I know the feeling, I used to try to starve myself and then fail and eat a bunch because I felt bad about it, and then I would feel really guilty and gross. This is pretty obvious but have you talked to your doctor about this?

Hi! This is old, but I want to answer it anyway. Definitely exercise if you can. I did cross country in high school and I always kind of noticed that I didn't really have cramps (at least not as severely) during cross country. I asked someone who worked in the medical field about it and they said exercise helps prevent cramps because the endorphins block pain, even hours after you exercise. I hope this helps!

It sounds like a fibroid or an ovarian cyst. You might wanna go to the obgyn

my friend's friend who lost ALOT of weight randomly gave me a tip. She said to brush your teeth when you feel hungry, it'll make you not want to eat xD

I'm not sure if that's counted as unhealthy but

HELP

Im afraid it might happen tomorrow in school so can someone tell me how to make the horror stop? I mean, i have colds (again) im also having my first day of period. No wonder i felt very weak and dizzy. I noticed my feet were sort of vibrting. I sat down the toilet to wash my vagina. but suddenly, my headache became even worse. My vision looks a bit black and dizzy as if im going to pass out even though im sitting down. I could barely breath and at the same time, I felt very nauseous and shaking uncontrollably.

I dont want this to happen at school, what should i do to avoid it?

this has happened to me before because i have really painful cramps the first day of my period that shoots down my calves. i fainted once in the bathroom because of it lol. the only thing to avoid it, if that is the case, is to keep track of your period and take some ibuprofen or naproxen before your period starts.
