Any tips on lightening the underarms?

These are things that worked for me:

 • Waxing instead of shaving. I was such a little pussy at first but then I figured out I was putting wax pieces that were too big so it hurt more. Now I can do both underarms in 10 minutes. You get used to the pain! :)
 • Don't sleep with deodorant on, let the skin breathe. Take it off every night, it will become an habit eventually. If you really need to put something, you can use talcum powder. Oh and you may want to pick a softer deodorant or one that says it lightens the skin (I never tried).
 • Exfoliating them about 3 times a week (if your skin is very sensitive you probably shouldn't do this more than once or twice a week). I use baking soda (which you can also use to lighten your teeth and that really works!)
 • Moisturize everyday

Do you use the strips to wax?

Yes. I used to think I had to use a whole stripe at once but I was wrong (and that's freaking painful and doesn't remove the hair that well) so now I just cut it into smaller pieces (with more or less the width of 2 fingers) with a scissor.

I've never used baking soda. Will have to up exfoliation to every 3-days then.

Nice recommendation. Never came across this lady before so I'll check out her other videos.

Before I do, where can I find nice bras for [British size] 28'DD+ cups?

It's one of my favorite products, it's cheap and has many uses!

Bubz is awesome, she's one of my favorite Youtubers. <3

I don't know the answer to your question but maybe someone else can help you. Sorry. :<

I used to use strips to wax! BUUUT I found veet hot oriental warm wax it doesn't hurt as much and it is better result!! PLUUUUUUS if you got wax stuck you can wash it off with water.. no oil needed!

Wow I'll definitely check that out. Thanks for the recommendation!

But waxing hurts so much T.T

Mte. I shave but that shit is annoying and have to do it too often, but waxing hurts T^T

You get used to it! For a long time (like, years lol) I thought I couldn't do it after trying and failing but then I really wanted to get prettier armpits so I womaned up and did it   Make sure you're calm (play some music) and don't count (because you will over-think and feel more nervous), just put the wax, rub and get it off real quick.

Think about the benefits,  it's better than shaving and lasts longer ;D  maybe if you yell them while you take the wax off? LOL

To me, using an epilator on my armpits is really painful so I only use it to shave my legs (but my epilator has 2 heads, one that only shaves and other that pulls out the hair - the pink Silk Epil from Braun, I love it but if I were to buy one now I would probably get one with chargeable battery).

Tried popping my blackheads, shit wouldn't come out

what do

I don't really get blackheads so idk, sorry. :<

Yes it's because when you wax you pull the whole hair out with it ends, so it actually takes time to regrow hair. When you shave though the hair root is not gone, that's why you get more hair by the second time and it also gets thicker.

That is actually a myth! Hair doesn't grow "ticker", it just feels like it because it's smaller so it's rougher and less flexible. When I was searching about this, one person made a metaphor with a tree's branch: when it's smaller, it's less flexible but when it's bigger/longer you can bend it better, and the same happens with hair. Otherwise we would look like werewolfs by now from all the shaving and stuff.  :har:  i don't think i explained this that well lol

Pubic hair removal recommendations please!

Can we pay to get our hair epilated our wtv you call it? Is it more expensive than waxing?

I just shave my pubic area. I think waxing down there would be too much.

I've been doing a mix of shaving and waxing down there. Waxing is painful.  :soul: I only do it in the bikini line though, to prevent hyperpigmentation.

My aunt has one of those and I don't think I ever want to try it.

Anyway is plucking any worse than shaving?

In terms of results it's better (just like waxing since both remove hair from the root) but in terms of pain it's definitely worse (for the same reason).

Is there are natural or good products (hopefully not very expensive) to get "rid" of stretch marks (white)?

I know they are normal and all but I have a lot of them on my ass and it's not very attractive.

Thanks in advance.

Gurl, I have them too, my biggest insecurity tbh. I hate them so much but I've gotten used because there's no way of getting rid of them (and most women have too anyway so it's silly to obsessed over them). Even the treatments at special clinics, although they can majorly improve their appearance, can't remove them 100% because the scars are so deep (I google a lot about those things; sorry if I'm coming off a bit preach-y xD).

What I do:

- moisturize all day err day so you can prevent new ones and improve the appearance of the skin (you may want to use a cream catered to them like this one for example, it's not expensive and you can find it easily at a drugstore);

-exfoliate the area (I find that this really helps improve their appearance because it removes dead cells so the skin becomes smoother and they don't feel as "different" from the rest of the skin as before);

-massage the area regularly with oil (I have been using olive oil because it's cheaper and I always have at home LOL but I think there are better ones to use. I've also read about pure shea butter and want to try).

-To make the light stretch marks look darker and stand out less, I use a self tanner lotion which I apply only on the scars with a q-tip.

And wow, I never realized how much work they were  but this usually only takes a few minutes daily.

Now if you want to 'hide' them for a certain occasion there are certain tricks you can do. You can wear waterproof body makeup (I never tried any but there are reviews on YT, especially for Dermablend) and there's this awesome thing that I recently learn about - spray makeup for the legs. I recently tried one that my mom had around the house, it was this brand, and I used it to the beach and it stayed on even after I went to the water and it didn't transfer to my clothes! but it's almost over and i dont think the place where she bought it still sells, buh It didn't completely hide the stretch marks (and from what I've read those sprays usually can't hide them totally) but it did make them less noticeable.

I'm planning on getting the 'Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs', there are a lot of reviews for it on YT and seems like it does its job well.

Mine are really noticeable so it makes me feel insecure when I wear a bikini T.T and I don't really like boy shorts so :(

Oh lol I was actually just searching if cocoa butter was good for stretch marks. I shall definitely try it!

Thanks for the response, I'll start exfoliating more often and moisturizing ^^

Oh forgot to ask are firming lotions worth it or not? I read that they also help with stretch marks.

I know how you feel. ;_; I've read that cocoa butter is good too. Idk much about firming lotions but I believe they're only effective if you work out...? Maybe since they improve the appearance of the area where you applied them, if that area has stretch marks they will also look better... IDK

Hi hi hi

Supposedly stretch marks will have to be get rid by whitening or is there other ways -.-

It look so weird.

Hello! I'm not sure what you mean by whitening, can you explain better please? Because from what I know there are 2 types of stretch marks, the purple/red ones (which are newly formed and easier to fade with special care) and the white ones (which are older and are almost impossible to get completely rid of), so I think whitening will make them more noticeable. Tanning may make them less noticeable, though.

D:

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Yep I mean them white ones. I don't think it will whiten it even more right? I was thinking to whiten the else where till is become the same colour as the marks.

Yep I think I am over.

D:

What if I use them pregnant cream thing. They use it to hide the mark from the pregnancy.

tumblr_lnkm1750Lj1qafrh6.gif

Maybe the whitening around idea can work for you (I know it wouldn't work for me because I have dark skin). I kind of do that but the opposite way (darken the stretch marks with self-tanner so that they match my skin better and stand out less). Please take a look at my post to fuckjohnny about ways of hiding stretch marks (if you haven't yet)!

The pregnancy cream is probably good to use. ^_^

There are professional treatments at clinics (such as laser, carboxy shots - as learnt from Kpop LOL, etc) that can majorly improve their appearance but they are pricey. :|

Ah, I also heard about green tea.. I wanted to try but I really don't like the taste. :(

Do you know if black tea has the same benefits?

Try white tea. I read on various sites that it's from the same plant but has more benefits. It tastes better too.

Any tips on acne scarring? I usually don't break out but for this period I did and I have some scarring. I have an event by the end of the week and I wish the scars could at least be lighter. I've tried lemon, but do you guys have any other natural remedies?

I've heard that lemon can actually be bad for your skin.

I have a problem with acne scars too. I just exfoliate sometimes with baking soda (another thing that I've heard is bad for the skin but I haven't had any problems so far) and use BB cream. I kind of "cheat" my way into fading them because I use a skin lighting product that my mom uses for some spots she has on her face. But you gotta give it time... Your best bet for the event is makeup. :P

Bio oil doesn't really seem to be working for my stretch marks, fuck.. Also I seem to have vaginitis. Is there anything I can take without going to the doctor?

Why do you think you have it? It's really best to go to the doctor, though. Maybe go to the pharmacy first?

What do you think is the best way into starting losing weight? I've started walking and counting my calories. I can't afford the gym, as I have no job and it is way to expensive.

I only seem to have a little motivation to change and I know I need to lose a little bit of weight or else more money will be wasted on new clothes for Winter (again). The other issue I have is that my family are picky eater so we have a lot of take away (pizza, fish and chips, mcdonalds, kfc etc) and when they have it I can't help but have it too. I try and eat less of it than I use to but with them always having it it's not helping me at all.

Anyone have any ideas?

Walking is already a great start! And so is watching what you eat. Basically to lose weight that's what you need to do: work out and eat healthy.

I think you should talk to your family about wanting to be healthier. Maybe they will agree and try as well, which will make it easier for you. Tell them they don't need to cut on the fast food completely, just eat less of it and try a more balanced diet.

A good alternative to the gym is Youtube videos. There are many workout videos there, by certified trainers. My favorite is Cassey (she seems annoying at first but her attitude is very motivating xD)

In her website she also has workout plans for beginners and stuff like that.

Motivation is always a big issue so why don't you try and get a friend to go on this journey with you? That way you can support each other.

Good luck. :)

hello ladies~ I was wondering if its a good idea to drink lemon juice on an empty stomach...does anyone know about the benefits of about this?

I have no idea, sorry.

IS ANYONE ON BC PILLS?

I'm not but I'd appreciate some advice as well.

Guys, i didn't have my period last month (i've been having pretty regular periods for the past 6 years- i never skipped one (im 17))... & i was at the doctor for something else... i told her & she said it only becomes a problem if i miss it another month... its getting near my time to have my period this month & im super scared i wont have it this month either... i feel like the stress will delay it again... but like whats the problem, why'd i suddenly skip last month? Has this happened to any of you (btw im not sexually active).

You could be Virgin Mary II... Just kidding!

My period is quite regular too but something similar did happen to me when I was around 13-14; it didn't come for like 3 months and it coincided with summer so it was kinda awesome and I didn't think much about it (but if that happened now I'd be more worried since I'm almost 20). It just came normally after that time, iirc.

I think you should just relax, that situation is actually not that uncommon for girls. You're aware that stress may play a part so maybe it is the cause... Are you going through something stressful (e.g. exams)? But your doctor knows best so if you feel that something is wrong just visit her again. :)

Hey girl...do you know the name of the product ur mom uses? I'm trying to get my even skin tone back...tired of using makeup every time I step out.

Also about stretch marks I'm going in to get laser treatment....wish me luck girls!

Hello. I don't know the name but it was prescripted to her from a doctor (yeah I was taking some risks but luckily no bad reaction). You can probably get something from a pharmacy, though.

Oh and good luck for your treatment! I hope you get some improvements. I'm gonna create a stretch marks support thread, please tell your experience later ^_^

Hey girls got a question , do you have a skincare routine?

Personally I try to keep it simple. Right now I only use Body Shop's Tea Tree Facial Wash, which I find amazing and does a decent job at removing simple makeup, and then apply moisturizer for oily skin (right now I'm using one by Garnier). Occasionally I exfoliate.

And always remember to drink plenty of water!

Can someone help me?

spoiler because it might be inappropriate
last month my vagina started itching. it itched really bad and constantly for 5 days. i scratched it a lot. after a week it stopped itching. i searched the internet and i think i might be allergic to my hygiene cleanser (so i stopped using it) or because i started to wash my v every time i pee and didn't dry them properly before putting back on underwear. or is it an infection? It's been a month now and stopped itching but I'm still worried… anyone know why? should i go to the doctor? :/
I'll answer in spoilers too since that's how you put the question. ^^
I do think you should go to the doctor because that way you can be sure everything is okay. But from what you said it seems like it could be a reaction to something...Maybe something you did messed with its natural balance (don't take my word on this, I'm not a specialist).
