anyone have any tips for avoiding binge eating? It's making me gain weight super fast and I hate it.

I usually go a day or two--or three without eating or something small. After that, I tend to eat my life away for the next few days.

I really need to lose weight because i'm so short and its not good for me, plus im having liver problems so I don't want my weight to affect that, and put me in more of a bad shape.

I think first thing you need to do is see a doctor about your liver, make sure that is taken care of. It's hard to eat healthy when you're not healthy, know what I mean?

May I ask have you always been a binge eater or this is something that just started? or something that happens once in a while? Might be helpful to find out what your triggers are. Some people binge eat because they just love to eat; some are emotional binge eaters, they eat when they are sad/depressed/stressed, etc.

Without knowing the cause of your condition, I can't help as much as I'd like to, but there are some diet and lifestyle adjustments you can do and I hope they will help you:

1) Easier said than done but always try to eat a good breakfast. Then for lunch and dinner, stick to a regular eating schedule (and try not to eat your last meal too late), stick to lean proteins and non-processed foods.

2) Snack on healthy yet filling snacks when you are hungry: apple (rich in fiber, so it'll help with bowel movement, aka help you get things out instead of putting things in your body); handful of organic almonds, carrots, fruits with almond butter (small scoop), avocado (avocado is delicious and very filling).

3) Manage your stress. A good percentage of binge eaters suffers from emotional stress.

4) Get enough of sleep everyday. There's a saying when the body is weak, the mind is weak. Make an effort to make your body happy.

5) Exercise. It doesn't have to be hardcore, it could be something as small as walking around your neighborhood after dinner every night. When you exercise regularly your body feels better and you feel better.

6) Get support. If you feel this is becoming a serious issue. Talk to someone and get help.

I hope you get better!
