Gaudy 3,588 Posted October 20, 2019 Share Posted October 20, 2019 At first, I was calling it bad and akin to something you'd create with crayola in front of you until I really looked into it. You can't even make this shit up, it's actually kind of emotional if you just stare and ponder in silence. The only style I'm particularly drawn to (and can create) happens to be detailed humans which are also beautiful in their own rights, the simple colors in the Mark Rothko piece above are depressingly beautiful. I don't think I'd pay 100 million, but honestly I can see why some people did. It even leads you to wondering why something like Norman Rockwell pieces are considered masterpieces to the general public, and not these.
