The reason JYP is pushing Dahyun as the main rapper of Twice is obvious

Now before you drag me I know Chaeyoung has more skills, but Dahyuns voice and tone were made for rap.  She has a natural laid back "swag" that distinguishes her from all the screech rappers (G-idle, CLC, 4 minute), while Chae is kind of a watered down version of the screech rappers.  If JYP ever decides to amp up Twice's raps to compete with the current rap heavy idol groups, I'm sure he will continue to push Dahyun as the main attraction.

Just listen to her ride this beat like butter, nobody in kpop is doin it like her and JYP needs to get with the program and exploit her to the fullest!

Chaeng is for TWICE what Nichkhun is for 2PM, they both started as rappers but over the years they ended up singing because they have the ability to do so (and it has been shown that Chaeng sings very beautifully from her cover, and now in Feel Special she doesn't rap). For me Taecyeon only knows how to rap, just like Dahyun.

For trained rappers of lol JYPE...both of them sound fine. They do they're job.

 

I feel it's more like Chaeyoung has more potential or talent for singing compare to Dahyun right now - which is why she gets more singing parts.

Chaeyoung on the other hand is great but doesn't get enough or good parts to show her skills more

It's just the same situation as Jennie and Lisa in BP. The main rapper (Jennie/Chae) is a good enough singer so she gets singing parts, thus the lead rapper (Lisa/Dahyun) gets more rapping parts.

As a Dahyun bias since day one, I still prefer her to sing than rap tbh

Idk I think Dahyun looks unconfortable when she has to sing so she probably prefers to just rap. I do think Chaeyoung prefers to rap too but there's only so much rapping Twice songs can have.
