You know what? I'm a fucking terrible person

I buy myself extravagant shit all the time, but Im kinda stingy at Christmas. Why? Because I'm too busy driving over to Saks Fifth Avenue and spending every dime on myself.

I had a realization, that behavior is gross.

So I'm gonna save, and pick up shifts almost every day leading  up to Christmas (easy to do that at the store I work at.)

Im planning on dropping BIG CASH this Christmas. I only have 4 people I NEED to shop for, but Iplan on dropping a couple hundred on each person.

It's gonna be a lot of work.

Any one else here planning ongoing hard as fuck this christmas?

I had to take it easy last year because I moved right after Christmas but this year I'm not worried about needing money for that so I'm gonna go all out. I already know I'm getting my mom something she's wanted for years and it's gonna be so great to see her reaction to finally getting it. 🥰

And good on you btw! It's always a good feeling to make people happy so all that extra work will be worth it.

I feel shitty cuz last few years i have had money but don't buy loved ones stuff.  I mean to a degree.  Throughout the years ill give ppl money if they're short on a bill etc. But i just never know what to buy for presents so i never do. Maybe ill make an effort for this yr tho

I don’t think the amount you spend on gifts says anything about your personality. I’d rather have people being smart with money and investing it in something relevant for their future or personal happiness than gift me something I most likely wouldn’t have bought myself (either because I am too frugal/broke or I don’t need it), since that’s what most gifts are. A small, personal gift is way more meaningful imo.
