The Trainees That Could Make Up SM's New Girl Group

SM's highly anticipated new girl group is fast approaching and SM has a bevy of trainees here are the trainees that I feel are most likely to make up the new girl group. First of all I believe the lineup is 9 members. The original lineup for the new girl group was 9 members. So far six are practically confirmed through official promotions as SMRookies and unofficial features as trainees. 

Park Jungyeon 

DOB: May 13, 1997

Predicted Position: Lead Vocal, Rapper 

Activities: 

• SM Town VCR "Winter Garden" with Lami & Hina 
• BTS Love Yourself Highlight Reel 
• Pre training appearances on Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook 
• Lead in her uni's rap musical "Hippolitus on the Beat"

• Daughter of singer Park Hakgi and sister of former Matilda member Dana
• Is skilled in writing and composing music (sung her original song "Becoming An Adult" on sketchbook
• Can play guitar and piano 
• Though she's never been officially introduced as an SMRookie she's been a trainee for at least 4 years

Koeun/Ko Eun

DOB: March 18, 1999 

Predicted position: Leader, lead vocal, lead dancer 

Activities:

• Shining Star OSTs

Fun Facts: 

• Nickname is KoLeader
• Good friends with Red Velvet's Yeri

• Will have been a trainee for 9 years when she debuts in 2020, the longest of any SM artist

Nakamura/Gong Hina

DOB: March 18, 1999 

Predicted position: Main dancer, rapper

Predicted position: Main vocal, lead dancer

• Has a soulful r&b style singing voice

• Says her goal in life is to help people and make them happy
• Was in a dance team before training

Ningning/Ning Yizhuo

DOB: October 23, 2002

Predicted position: Main vocal

• Close to NCT's China line
• Loves horror movies, dolls, and the colors red, yellow, and pink

Lami/Kim Sungkyung

DOB: March 3, 2003

Predicted position: Visual, dancer, rapper

DOB: 01-03 (this is derived from the fact that she's a high school student and therefore must be within this age range)

Fun facts: 

• Not much is known about her aside from the fact that she's a trainee (though did not specify where) and that she's a fan of Red Velvet. 
• Spotted at Coex Atrium with 3 other SM trainees including Yoo Jimin

Their pictures are right there (and yes, I've seen them) and quite frankly I don't get the hype. Every single one of JYP's trainees are more impressive.
