So in the homophobia/racist/sexist graph thread, I was asking how can CL be a homophobic when she is friend with that gay fashion designer that I forgot his name. Some ppl reply said someone can still be friend with gay/lesbian and at the same time, a homophobic person. But, according to literal definition of homophobia, it seems impossible for a homophobic to even be friend with a homosexual ppl. Homophobia encompasses a range of negative attitudes and feelings toward homosexuality or people who are identified or perceived as being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT). It can be expressed as antipathy, contempt, prejudice, aversion, or hatred, may be based on irrational fear, and is sometimes related to religious beliefs - wiki Btw, this got nothing to do with CL, I'm just using it as example. However I do have many LGB friends. Their sexuality isnt their personality so I wont hold it against them. When it comes to about their sex life I try to stay out of it. Im comfortable with them being LGB, im just not that comfortable talking about their sex life. They know this and my personal thoughts are religiously motivated, but they dont address me as homophobic. Im not proactive against gay marriage, like id never join an Anti-gay rally/protest or join any of those things against LGBT people in Russia.
