coming from someone who has literally never watched anime/donghua before (except for spiritpact a week ago lmao) ITS THE BEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN

 

time to go read the novel and manhua and buy the audio drama ASAP (once I have time kek)

also the theme song is SONG OF THE CENTURY omfg the power this holds

I was reading webtoon, but since webtoons usually go slow, I picked up anime and before 2nd season came out, they filmed web series. 
So I finished web series first. It was amazing. 10/10. Must-watch. One of the best dramas. Want to rewatch, but no time for that. UGHH. Gonna continue watching anime tho since It takes less time.

I read part of the webtoon and watched the two seasons of the donghua I do like the story but the character design is terrible. They are way too similar, really confusing sometimes.

I've never watched anything Chinese before, cartoon or live action but omg. I'm obsessed with all things Mo Dao Zu Shi, I watched the anime, the live action and now I'm reading the translation of the novel. It's such a cool story, all the characters are amazing and the themes explored are so good. It's funny though I thought the anime (donghua?) was too fast at times, like I couldn't quite follow the story but the live action explained everything a thousand times lol. It felt slow in comparison. But I loved the actors and their chemistry. I'm currently rewatching it.
