johnnyrose 12,654
just got back a bit ago. and wew. that was something. i really thought i didn't need to see the last 4 minutes, and .. it was somehow oddly satisfying? not truly satisfying because you know, its freaking horrible lol and its been pretty well explored in Batman comics and other mediums, it didn't need to be explored here really, but .. alright movie. i see what you did there. i ... appreciated the movie. i can see Joaquin getting nominated. i certainly wouldn't picket and riot if he wasn't nominated. he was really really good. he does a pretty damn good job at being unsettling in certain scenes. overall the movie is something i only need to see once. its solid and ... yeah. i feel no need to rave about it, and thats kinda a let down cause i thought i wouldn't be able to shut up about this movie. it does its job. it does the job well. and its good for the money. good job team. Spoiler Heath Ledger's Joker is still the benchmark. two very different performances and use of source material. for me personally, Ledger's Joker will continue to be the standard. anyone else? Just Peachy 1,282
I watched it today It's a really good and very timely movie that makes you think about our current society. I can definitely see it as an Oscars contender both for Best Picture and Best Male Lead. But on a personal level, I still have a slightly hard time adjusting to some of the changes they made to the Batman lore. I'm veryy curious how Batman would work in this world tho! I'm veryy curious how Batman would work in this world tho! i can see how Bruce could fit in actually lol. clown goes mad. somewhere in a lab, a scientist name Pamela huffs too much fertilizer and gets horny for the rainforest. billionaire kid snaps for the thong of justice and becomes bat ninja. random; i love how they shot 'GOTHAM' . i love the filthy architecture lol. 13 minutes ago, Big Boss said: I'm hesitant whether to watch it or not yet is it worthie rosie? its worth it. its not a waste of time by any means. peachy above said its very timely, and thats a great word for it. its also very raw and unkempt? idk if thats the word. perhaps uncensored is better. it doesn't play the audience as dumb. i respect that.
