So even if an Ellen appearance has never been anything super special, it felt like that back then because it was BTS themselves and armys who made it special. And that's why no other kpop group desperate for western validation going to Ellen or any of the other shows like Corden or Kimmel has managed to get not even 10% of the hype, social media buzz and positive response that BTS got and generated.
