Is Ellen no longer relevant for kpop?

Compared to the hype when BTS were first announced to guest on the show I saw nothing about Monsta X or SuperM

Even the Korean media was crazy about it

The same thing can be said about the late shows

Is it a fandom thing? Relevancy thing? Or just not cool anymore?

Or  Is it a thing special for the the act that does it "First"? But SNSD and Psy guested on late shows years before BTS so

discuss

Relevancy. Even Ellen didn't seem that...Enthusiastic? Because BTS came to the show after they made some impact. I can't say the same for the other 2 groups. However, at least Monsta x had released a song which charted pretty well. Cant say the same for Super M.

funny how ellen is only irrelevant when superm is going on

and idk if u noticed but the video superm did for billboard had a million views so even if u "don't see the hyp" doesn't mean it's not there

because it's not like people were making a million threads about that either.

Because at that time ppl thought it was special. Then everyone went and so it isn’t any more. This isn’t rocket science.

In retrospect that’s not special either. It’s just an interview. Something for fans to watch.

People? What people? Maybe you didn't see the whole TV news that reported about it or all the articles on the Internet

We're not talking abut opinions here. We're talking about FACTS

There are so many articles on the internet about SuperM. You just thought articles from billboard or other news agency was a big deal before but some how not now.

They just don't have the impact and organic demand like BTS had so far. Let me tell you something, BTS with LY:HER/DNA US advancement one single AMA performance>>>>>>all these current groups with money thrown at these media play and promotion in the west yup. 🐍

Anyway the only group come close is BP with Coachella performance, which was hyped and talked about because fanwars in the kpop community. 🐍

SNS hype of Army is another level and no one kpop fandom can surpass this

I say this as non army

Basically this.

The shows are relevant. It's just not as many people care and/or even aware the groups are on them. Unless it's BTS. SNS helps BTS greatly.

Twitter is a Army playground. We own it. The Western media know this too and the shows that invite them. So they participate in our game lol. All of this forces other celebs, media outlets, industry people and public to focus on BTS.

At the end of the day,  other groups are not creating as much buzz as BTS. Yes, they create more buzz compared to some Western acts on SNS which I suspect is part of the reason some are invited. Free promo for the shows. Kpop fans are known for being strong on SNS. But there still isn't one fandom that touches any where near Armys on SNS. The fandom is very organize and simply huge af. And this is why everyone wants a piece of BTS.

It depends on the fandom to hype it and make it a big deal. armys own social media so anything BTS does becomes huge due to the response (good or bad). Just appearing on Ellen won't give anybody a career. But promo is promo, so it's worth going to a tv show that is open to kpop

Is not that is not revelant, is not revelant to the people who do not want the group, or are not interested, same with when other groups went, maybe that time it was revelant to you, but to me is as irrelevant as it is now (mostly because i do not watch that show since i'm not from the US)
