She has being financed by businessmen and lobbyists to start her movement, such as the swedish magnat Ingmar Rentzhog who is lobbying for renewable energies such as Sustainable Energy Angels; both of her parents quit their jobs to manage her "carrer" ala Britney Spear's father, and before the kid the first appearance in the media it was proven her mother had 4 encounters with Ingmar Rentzhog; her agenda is managed by another lobbyist Daniel Donner, and she denounced Argentina, Germany, France, Turkey and Brazil as the ones who violates the United Nations Convention on the rights of the child by inaction.........  guess CHINA, INDIA, and THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA where too powerfull to bully, when in fact those are the actual countries fucking the planet int he ass by gas emition!!!????

1) She has acknowledged the fact that some companies tried to use her image without her consent. She also consistently draws attention to the scientific reports, telling people to listen to the science rather than her.

2) Her mum quit her international opera career to become a musical actress, so she is not exactly unemployed. Her dad is with her in America.

3) Greta, and the 14 other children (learn about them too!) who sued the 5 countries couldn't exactly sue the US and China because, guess what? They are suing according to the convention on the rights of the child... which the US and China never ratified.

4) Greta's interest in climate change is not exactly something that can be stopped. She is far more "obsessed" with it than her parents will ever be. That's called a "special interest", which is a subject an autistic person will focus on until they know all about it (in this case at least), even more than some specialists sometimes.

5) Calling her "Gretard" (see comments above) makes you ableist and not a good person really. "Retard" is an ableist slur. She is autistic (diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome but the DSM doesn't discriminate between both appelations anymore), that's all.

Idk much about her but i saw a clip of news of some asshole invalidating her cuz she apparently has mental illness and she's being manipulated & abused by her parents to do what shes doing. I can't stand poticalness like humanity is thrown away just to say sumn to ur or ur political party agenda. Plus the fact that to me that guy n prob ppl who disagree w her think her thoughts are invalid cuz she's younger. Is autistic(?) And maybe has a few mental illnesses. Like ppl cant operate or be impactful, have their own thoughts,  etc if ur not neurotypical. Complete bs.

So are you telling me that the 5 countries sued were better off not even trying to sign the treatment like China and The United States?, worrying way of thinking ......; and nobody int his site called the girl any name; her mother did quit her actual job, and she had numerous encounters with lobbyist for new energies productions, most of them Swedish, SO.........

I find so worrying that people pick and choose based on their empathy and not in their logic; the fact that you identify with her for her disabilities and decided to give zero fucks to critical thinking is another prove of why GenX can't take a break

The fact that you and so many people focus more on her background rather than the message that she and so many other people put forward about the danger of over-capitalism/corporate-greed and over-consumption on the earth. At least she is doing something good for the world by motivating/encouraging/inspiring others that have already been concerned and working on environmental issues, and educating others that were ignorant to change their consumption habits to be more environmental-friendly and to encourage their government to regulate corporations better with the regards to the environment.

What have you been doing yourself with regards to taking care of the environments more?

But im on favor of her cause!; i just really think she has shitty parents and she is being used; if she doesn't have a clean solid base, she'll be called a fluk, she and the movement, plus putin is triggered, that's dangerous af

Well she started a movement bigger than any adult could have done these days. Don't know about what country you all leaving in but besides the far right people in my country everyone else either supports/respects her or atleast doesn't try to insult her. I love her and while it can't be helped that people have tried and will try to use her, I can't see her ever going off from her fight to safe this planet. Which I can't say about anyone else.
